since baby niece can wear just make use of all the hardly worn clothes/toys of the almost 3 year old........I figured mom can use that to buy baby things she actually needs.

of course you have a cookie cutter collection. Cause you're like a real mom. One of those cool ones who the kids bring their friends over to see because there's always some type of delicious treat at their house. Someday I want to be one of those moms.

Guess I should learn to cook and bake more, ha!

Gift card for the baby sounds like the best way to go. It could be more wipes/diapers or something fun that they wouldn't normally buy.

Yes on the amazon gc. I do subscribe and save on diapers/wipes plus buy a lot of other kids related stuff (mostly toys). Great idea.

Umm, you don't want to see my cookie cutter collection. One of my side hobbies besides cake baking. ;)

That's pretty awesome. Do you have the older kids play with the younger ones? So far if I want to bake I have had to ask my mom to do it or wait until she's asleep.

I've had 129 Amazon orders so far this year, and Christmas shopping isn't done yet. ;)

Right now we have both the PS4 and PS3 (and Wii which hardly gets touched) hooked to the same tv. Overkill? Waiting for new TV to be delivered Friday, then this tv and the PS3 get moved to our room.

Need to make 4 dozen cookies for a charity event Sat. Will prob make 2 kinds. Any requests? No nuts/peanut butter. Prefer Christmas-y cookies. And once I get back to the kitchen baking, I will still be here.

Random enough?

Rum Balls & Peppermint Schnapps Balls FTW!!! You can even make them virgin. ;)

Birdy, where do you guys have light fixtures from? Or where those all in already?

you have my attention, go on . . .

Easy recipe if you want it. Uses crumbled vanilla wafers, powdered sugar, baking cocoa, white corn syrup, and booze (or artificial flavoring + water).

Any non-cream liquor that goes with chocolate can work in the recipe. My personal favorite is Grand Marnier Balls.

If it is serious baking (ie someone is paying me for it) I try to bake/decorate during naptime and after bedtime (which is hard because bedtime is about 9pm). Just cookies or something I will bake while they are awake. The 3.5yr old and almost 2yr old can sometimes entertain themselves for short bits of time until the screaming gets to be too much. ;)

Our builder uses local places, so the lights were from a place here in town (kinda down by Hickory Hall/Earl May iirc). We kept most everything they already had picked out, but did switch out the ceiling fans from what they picked. For carpet/tile they go through Alfred's here in town.

I got kind of lucky with that. My boys were 19 months apart (similar to your younger two, apparently?)...and entertained themselves VERY early on. I didn't have to worry about screaming. I had to worry when things were TOO quiet. ;)

ah, ok. They did list a lighting place in Milwaukee but otherwise said places that are not an hour away such as Menard's or Home Depot.

I'm running a heater nonstop because it's freezing in here. Meanwhile, I can see the blinds moving as the actual heat thing for the room pushes out air to feels about 55F.

I bet he understands, but it is different conversing than what he had studied. Be patient and kind.

The college kids have told me the hardest part is conversing and sometimes they are learning The Queen's English verses United States. So some things will be confusing with different names.
