I'm seriously thinking about making that top 25 dumb threads thing a reality. Would that be something that would get me banned?
I'd pm a mod. I think in theory it may work, but they'd probably shut it down quick since it would be a major powder keg.

Seeing the convo on cookies, I was pondering starting a Holiday Recipes thread. Although, I have a feeling a) the females would dominate, and b) that many males on this site would go to their female significant others and say "Bake this!" (2015 is excluded from this assumption, as is possibly Double Ought)

I also wonder how many of the RT haters who snipe about it being all girl talk assume that because of my talking about cooking and baking and kiddo stuff that I'm a sissy or effeminate man. When in fact, I probably have a more 'traditionally manly' job than most, and in the RT dark hours I was enjoying watching a video of the first firing of a 100 year old Fiat 28.5 liter (well, it's a Fiat, I suppose I should say litre) engine. (and no, that's not a typo, 28.5 liter, my cars have 2.0 and 3.5 liter)

*and yes, KC, when I give Papalew crap about sewing, I'm just kidding.

I'd put restrictions on it, such as nothing that would create a huge fight(so not this thread or anything from the cave), attacking a certain poster or groups of posters for beliefs or stances on certain topics (so again, the cave or anything that turned into a huge argument in any other section) or anything from an opt in section, since they are opt in for a reason. I'd probably try to mix in some positive awards too once I come up with some that end up being something better than poster of the year.

Doesn't matter, there would still be tons of arguments over it.

this thread has more female participation (even excluding KC and I) than any other thread. Probably why it's so awesome. Haha.

Birdy, I thought peanut butter blossoms were out because of the peanut butter thing. Those are always good. I made them with mini peanut butter cups in the center once. Good but they got too melty. Stuck with the chocolate stars after that.

I just realized that if I make the almond bark pretzels the weekend DH gets his wisdom teeth taken out, he can't eat any. All mine. Sadly, he'll be able to eat all the sugar cookies. But is that cruel to make all the cookie stuff the day after he gets it done? Seems cruel.

I think a day or 2 after I had mine out, I went to a wedding of a friend of a friend. Ate everything, drank a bunch of whiskey, tore stitches singing Metallica or something, no ill affects.

But then again...clearly from what we've learned, Mr. Cowgirl can't be held to the standards of the men in this thread, so I'm not sure I'd advise it for him.
