Birthdays after 21 just don't have the same novelty.

Birthdays after 21 just don't have the same novelty.

I am proving that every year. I literally have one memory of a birthday after 21 and this only because one of the managers at work baked me a dinosaur cake for my 40th and had a big mock the old dude party for me.

21st was me feeling sick as a dog with death cold and the guys dragging me out for drinks. Under the guise of a "forgotten wallet" one of the guys had us come back to his apartment where they had a surprise party for me. My first and only surprise party ever. Got drunkie and felt terrible the next day with death cold + hangover.

BTW, I feel I should assure you guys I wasn't drunk posting last night, despite my sharing...on the contrary, I drank a bunch of iced tea at work last night, forgetting that it's got coffee levels of caffeine in it, so I got home and was not getting to sleep anytime soon.

My roommate's alarm has gone off 17 times in the past hour.. I'm not even kidding I've counted

I hate the snooze button since I'm the type of person who sets their alarm and then gets up when it goes off.

That's a big lifestyle change. Have you spent much time up there? My wife wanted to move there initially so she could work on the stock market. I balked, probably out of fear of the unknown. I've gone there a couple times, but I'd struggle staying there every day. I value my space too much.

There's still a part of me that wished I stepped out of my comfort zone and gone for it for her. I don't envy your decision.

This is a good question. Cost of living is way different between CR and NYC. She might get paid a lot more and you guys will still be in the red.

Talk to him about it. Don't let it get all passive aggressive. Find out if somethings wrong with his life right now. He might need a buddy.

So I am a TA for undergrads.....

Last week: A girl that I teach asked me where I lived, I told her, she said oh yeah I live there also.... Turns out she lives in the apt right next to mine.

This week: Her and her friend were giggling in class. I what was so funny, the friend said that I was in girl X's dream. I didn't wanna get anymore into it. Girl x's face got super red and they all started giggling.

I mean I'm a freakin stud right. Am I going to get taken advantage of some late night?

Sounds like a porn in the making. Do it.

I have to drive back home to NW Iowa tomorrow for a funeral (aunt - 95, died peacefully, ready to go, pretty much on her own terms). I'm working until 1100, then making the 5 hour jaunt to make it there for the visitation. 10 minutes ago, the owner of the company comes by, drops 2 tickets on my desk for the game tomorrow night and doesn't saying anything to me.

Do I let him know that I won't be going, but tell him that my wife and daughter would gladly take them; and see what he says? Or do I just take it as a gift, shut my mouth, and have my wife and daughter go; eliminating the risk of having him possibly pull the tickets back?

Keep your mouth shut. You want to give the impression that you went to the game, even if you don't. That way if a chance like this comes around again, you'll be given the tickets again. If it's known "you" don't go this time, the offer won't even be put on the table the next time.

You go to the game yourself.

Your aunt would understand.
