I had some chaser level luck ordering shoes. I ordered a size 10, they sent a size 7 in a size 10 box...at first I didn't realize it, so I was like "jeeze, these sizes are off and my calves must be super fat" but..not totally the case. Anyway, they're sending a label so that I don't have to pay for shipping back and then they gave me a promotional credit ($15) to use on a new purchase, yay 6pm (zappos!)

Hi, 55.

So I got my Target deal, plus there was a Target Wish List app that offered additional 10% off things on your wish list through today. So paid under $185 for IPad Mini. Of course as soon as I was on my way to get it, hubby points out the iPad Air 2 is a better deal for the money. Do I spend $100 more and get a full iPad instead? (Faster processor, better display). Honestly I just need something to reach our 5.5 year old iPad. I use it to Web browser and watch videos mostly.

so spending more time at car place, picked what we liked, oh whoops, brochure is wrong, can't actually get X+Y together, have to go up to the next model that is more $$$. Meh. They made a decent offer but now I'm looking at used Highlanders instead.

Boo that. Would still opt for new Kia. New Kia > used overhyped Highlander.

you really would? TBF, the used one we are looking at has like 4k miles. I feel like the biggest thing is a perceived reliability & resale value (that part is true) between the two. If we can get the Kia down a bit more, then the differential is probably enough that being able to have some "extras" that we wouldn't get on the Highlander is worth it. And it's a bit smaller which we are totally ok with.

If you don't get all the extras you'll regret it. If you are keeping something for a while get all of the googahs you can.

that would be annoying as hell. Fairly often I'll put in an extra day around Christmas/Memorial Day etc. Though I'm not already getting a week/3 weeks off around that time so I can somewhat see the point on the teaching side.

The only time it has been an issue was when our HS basketball teams were really good and going to state every year which usually fell on the weekend leading into spring break. So if staff wanted to go and watch as well it created issues.

The best part is that you pretend like this is all new but you've totally been talking about getting a new car since this summer.

Well I wanted to look in spring but dh didn't. hadn't gone and looked at anything til Saturday. it's been on my mind though so I talk about it here. I'm forward thinking :D

My mom still does the whole gift thing for Xmas and her and my sister are going out tomorrow night and she keeps asking me what I would like and I have no idea.

What are some things someone in their mid twenties would want? I pretty much have what I need so I really don't know what to tell her. I don't really want her picking out clothes because I end up never usually wearing them/returning them.

Art work for your house? Lamps or end/coffee tables? Gift certificate to that massage parlor by Charterhouse realty? Hey I'm just guessing here, don't shoot the messenger.

Maybe ask for experiences such as ISU basketball tickets.

My wife's car is a 2015 Highlander and it's been great, no complaints.
