She had been known to assault persons who called orangutans monkeys!
This is true. I've forced myself to try to learn the difference between monkeys and apes. Based upon my extensive research, I've come to this conclusion. If it flicks poo, it's a monkey. If it doesn't flick poo, it's an ape.

If it has a prehensile tail, it's a monkey. Apes don't have tails. Most monkeys do. Apes are generally larger, with bigger brains.
We (apes and monkeys) ALL fling poo. And if you try to tell me humans don't, I submit that you have never had a toddler in your home!

Just heard from my mom today! She is fine well, outside outside of some damage to the house, looting in some parts of PR, only having 2 -3 days of food left, short on cash and businesses not taking debit/credit cards, no power, intermittent water, and a shortage of gas. But other than that, she is in good health and I was relieved to be able to hear her voice. I asked her if she could fly out, but she said they only have about 10 flights able to make it out daily and there is a huge backlog of passengers on wait list. Thanks to everyone here who asked about her. Can't wait for her to move out to Texas!
