I'll make a very special version that makes ISU #1 regardless of silly things like "record" and "tiebreakers". Just give me a few minutes...

It’s even simpler than that. Go 4-0 and we’re in.I think it's pretty simple, if we go 3-1 and two of our wins are KSU and Texas, we clinch. To the rest of the league, we are the only real threat to keep Texas out of the big 12 title game. If we lose that game, it'll be likely be UT/OU.
When I read it, I thought that Randy only said it is currently a 3 way tie (except not really with OSU 1/2 game behind, but that's nit-picking). I'm only seeing a Texas/ISU prediction for the championship game, nothing about ties or records at the end of the season. The problem with Randy’s analysis is if Texas, Oklahoma and Iowa State all tie at 7-2 and Oklahoma State gets 4th, it will be Texas and OU in the title game and not Iowa State based on each’s record against OSU. I encourage people to check out @mred’s Big 12 scenario generator to best understand all of this.
Fair point. He said he expects Texas to get in and Iowa State to get in because of a tie-breaker with OU. So assuming OU beats OSU like he inferred, the only way that tie-breaker would matter is if each had two losses, which would mean everyone is 7-2. I guess I shouldn't try to read Randy's mind here.I did not see anywhere in the article that Randy predicted a 3-way tie at the end of the season. He said it is currently a 3 way tie (except not really with OSU 1/2 game behind, but that's nit-picking).
I went down that road too. But in generous fairness, Randy didn't say tie-breaker (however much it sounds implied) -- he could just mean that OU has one loss too many on the season, and is crediting ISU with giving OU the loss that keeps them out of the championship.Fair point. Virtually impossible I think. Is an ISU-Texas title game even possible? Feels like the odds are really, really small for that to happen.
So it’s us or them.... Give me the Clones.Virtually impossible I think.
Texas wins out. Iowa state wins all but the Texas game. OSU loses to K-State and BU or TTU or TCU BUT beats OU.Virtually impossible I think.
Are we supposed to ponder what the scenarios are if we go 4-0?It’s even simpler than that. Go 4-0 and we’re in.
I’m really not sure why everyone insists on giving us losses we haven’t had yet.
Kansas knocks Texas out of the CCG in a few weeks. Les Miles crowned king of Lawrence.I knew Texas pulling that one out of their ass against Tech was going to end up being a pain for the rest of the conference.
