If you read the UNC Insider article from the other day you think RV is going to UNC. If you read the UNLV article you think he's going to UNLV.
These articles are silly. The recruits are going to say what the writers want to hear. The writers are going to say what the fan base wants to hear.
Don't get me wrong, I'm going to read every single article about Rashad from now until his decision but I'm not going to take the articles too seriously.

They have to be taken with a grain of salt for sure. I just wish these recruits look at the big picture. No school has an advantage in the draft. Its ludicrous to think otherwise. The factors on draft status really depend on these factors for the most part.
1. Players work ethic, ceiling and skill level - above all else, this is what truly matters.
2. Mentor - Coach highest of all and other players teaching what they know.
3. Competition - whether it be in practice or game competition.
4. Help - Players around you that don't take your go to status away but don't hinder your ability to be a playmaker
5. Game plan - Who is going to set you up with a playing style that succeeds at the next level
I am sure there are other factors but these stick out to me the most. People talk about Calipari and Drew putting people in the NBA or the 1st round. That is because those players are highly ranked athletes to begin with. Throw a bunch of players ranking 100-300 on their teams and see how many 1st rounders they advance to the next level and then we'll talk. I think Fred is perfect for a guy like him but I am sure there are many other coaches that can offer him very similar results. I hope he choses us and not the flash. Hopefully soon, ISU will also offer the flash as well as the solid program.

We've only been on him a few months, but we're competing at the top for Vaughn. We fans like our chances.
Some questions about Vegas and UNLV I've seen. We are diehard. UNLV basketball is our pro team. We were #1 in the west coast in attendance last year. We expect about 40-100 people at the airport waiting for Goodluck Okonoboh this weekend for his official visit.

We landed 5-star Dwayne Morgan and have a really good chance at 5-star Goodluck to have great pieces around him.
We have a lot to offer Vaughn. Our coaches had an in home visit with his parents and now that even though he lives in Vegas right now...he WILL take an official visit to UNLV. His dad has created a great relationship with our coaching staff. Former Findlay Prep head coach Todd Simon is now an assistant at UNLV and recruited Vaughn to Findlay and now to UNLV.
The Kaffey relationship is strong. Kaffey will be in Vegas with Findlay while Vaughn can stay in Vegas as well with UNLV. Kaffey is known to have a huge influence on Vaughn.
Not here doubting your sources, but as far as our insiders have been hearing...UNLV is right there.
I believe UNLV has a great chance.

Good thing Pollard was our AD during this game. If we still had Ole' Bruce he would have been right out there to appease the coach's demands. Wouldn't want the other team to disadvantaged in any way against the Cyclones.
