Re: Rashad Vaughn

Anyone think there is a chance he gets caught up the events and excitement of the Nov 17th weekend and commits? I know he was here for the Baylor game, but if ISU is competitive against Michigan, and with Vitale in town and all, Hilton is really really going to rock. He will never experience anything like it anywhere else. Not even places like KU or North Carolina to top Hilton on Hiltons best day.

I think I found a selfie of KU and NC:

Re: Rashad Vaughn

RC also wants to see how the teams play the season. He has one year to mesh and he wants to see how he might fit. Our team has lots of new players. He can watch the games from LV and evaluate.

Did he say this somewhere or are you just guessing?

Re: Rashad Vaughn

If ISU does well again this year I think he is going to pick ISU. Everything just seems to be pointing that way right now with UNLV as the biggest competition.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

I've decided the crystal ball thingy is only slightly relevent for people who aren't paying attention to recruiting at all in that it is accurate for a few guys whose likely choice is well known. That said, at this point it means more to me when someone doesn't pick UNLV than picks ISU.

Also noticed that the guy (edgar Walker, whoever that is) that was the first to pick ISU for a long time is one of those that switched over to UNLV.

And now with actual news...

With went up on 247 sports crystal ball from 46% to 49%.

Rashad Vaughn's Crystal Ball Predictions

Of course its just my opinion but some of these guys that had picked UNLV may have just picked UNLV because they figured there was no way he would sign with a team like Iowa State in their eyes. Duke and Kentucky may look at us like "why would anyone want to go there", thus influencing the UNLV decision. Again, just a theory and opinion. Hopefully some of the ISU predictions were based on some actual insider info.

The UNLV crystal balls were based off the Okonoboh commitment to UNLV.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Any chance Vaughn is just saying Unlv has a chance to get free use of their stuff? A la Barnes.
