This is not true. Randy P. said he "could see" Vaughn announcing on CBSSports.com or something along those lines. They were comparing Lazard and Barnes announcements, and Randy used Vaughn's pending announcement as another example.

I just got the tail end of it. He was saying that Vaughn is announcing it on CBS sports or CBS sports.net or something and he likes the way Lazard did it better signing a blank piece of paper in front of the media

I don't think Vaughn is. Peterson was comparing Lazard's situation to Harrison Barnes and how athletes in this day and age like to do something media related. That's where Peterson mentioned he liked the way Lazard handled his versus Barnes using skype. He said someone like CBS sports would probably have information on Vaughns commitment, not necessarily being fact that Vaughn is using them for his announcement.

What a horrible choice of words for him.

he lives in vegas so maybe that analogy makes sense with little explanation there? The likeliest outcome isn't always the best bet. He is saying to the outside world Iowa State makes the most sense but UNLV has a better chance than most people think making them a good bet. Or at least that's how I read it.

I really thought this thread would be at 10,000 posts by the time I looked at it this morning, but it still has a ways to go.

To reach the 10,000 posts by Saturday, and just in case RV reads this site and this thread, I suggest the following. Stop talking about why he might choose ISU, or UNLV, or whoever else, or what everybody else is saying about this........and instead post the reasons you think ISU is the right choice for him. No begging, no pleading.....just facts about ISU and why it is a great place for a 5-star basketball player to go to school and play basketball.

I'm totally up in the air on this one. Logically you can make a pretty good argument that we should be favored, but history tells us that there is a kick to the nads coming.

Either way, Fred is taking this program to the next level one way or another. If he lands Vaughn, it would hopefully pay dividends in future recruiting, but I have no doubt that Fred will get it done with or without RV.
