Re: Rashad Vaughn

Why would Rashad Vaughn visit for the Iowa game. He will be in Las Vegas for school. I highly doubt he is going to fly back to Iowa on an unofficial visit for the Iowa game.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

It probably would have helped people's understanding if you had put post numbers on them. The fact that the last mention of Lazard (which you quoted) was post 1241 and the post about the Iowa game visit (which you placed right after 1241) was post 1260, almost 20 posts later, might matter to some when they are trying to discern if confusion with Lazard is the origin of the rumor.

Yeah probably true. O well. It's over and done with. Vaughn isn't visiting until a reliable source confirms that he is. So all the Vaughn visiting for the Iowa game rumors can stop.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Good luck stopping rumors. I have been trying to combat rumors in the workplace for years. People will believe the most ridiculous things. Like I heard once that JP was going to hire a basketball coach with zero coaching experience - ridiculous! Then there was the one about a blue-blood program stealing an ISU football coach who could count his wins on one hand. HA!

Sooooooo rumor has it Vaughn is taking the music route instead of basketball. Rw and him are starting a band. Bye bye Vaughn. Vaughn quoted "it's not you it's me" so it's all good

Because he is trying to choose a school to go to, and a team to play for. I said it before, but when I was a senior in high school I missed classes to go tour universities out of state. It's not unheard of. Plus he would likely get to visit family during a trip like that. Fly into Iowa, and have them drive down.

Not to mention if he likes Iowa State enough to "go out on a limb and put them in his top 5" why not go visit a school you obviously enjoy and see a coach who has a vested interest in you.

There are a lot of reasons he could want to do it. I'm not saying he will, I'm just saying anything is possible. People either write him off right away or think for sure he is coming here. There is a middle ground.

I see no middle ground, he's either coming here or he isn't.

Yes there are reasons he might visit during the Iowa game, but there are just as many reasons why it doesn't make sense. The fact remains the whole rumor was started from one thread that provided no supporting evidence to validate the claim. Just because it's possible doesn't mean it's probable.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Here's my view on the official/unofficial thing: if he visits again on an unofficial, then he means business. I would almost interpret another unofficial during the season as a better thing than an official since it means he is sincerely interested and is using his officials to make the more expensive trips. If he doesn't visit again, then I don't see him coming here. Just my speculation...I think we may be his #1 right now, but he just wants to see how this years team shakes out to make sure he isn't making a mistake coming here.

I hope if we have a decent year with another trip to the NCAAs, I hope he see's the potential of such a young team and what he could be a part of in 2014-15. JJ/JC too. Just the thought of having Morris, Thomas, SDW, Custer, Vaughn, Johnson & Niang. I think I would just droll from tip off to the game ending lol.

I might be the minority here but I think we've always been one of the front runners. He's been here, he knows the atmosphere. If he comes again that would be great but if he doesn't I think we're still going to be there until the end. For all we know ISU has been his #1 since he came here last and he's just visiting other schools to compare them

Re: Rashad Vaughn

If we truly are in his top 5, he'll take at least one more visit here in some shape or form. I can't see a kid committing to somewhere that he's only been twice and only as recent as his JR year.

Why not? Kids commit to schools without even visiting once
