Re: Rashad Vaughn

UNLV is a good basketball school with history....but if I'm a recruit, do I want to be on Big Monday against Kansas, Okie State, Texas ect.....or do I want to be playing at Air Force on a Thursday night

And yet they have and continue to get very highly rated recruits to commit there. Some players value different things. In this case Vaughn sees college purely as a stepping stone to the NBA, I don't think he cares too much about that.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Forget having a logical and sensible discussion on this board...tried it, all I got was a couple goons with no reasonable replies.

Have your field day here. Your love-fest. Your "we da best, who is u" discussion.
I'm off to the showcase. Goodluck with the rest of his recruitment.

your name is a troll. you make up you own facts and disappear when you get called out on it.
so again to quote another thread:
A full grown bear can run as fast as a horse.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Question here. Maybe not the best thread for it but I'm going to ask anyway.
Does anyone know how recruits are always able to get front row or box seats for games? This happens at every school so I'm not just calling out UNLV but I know RV was in Gucci Row last night. From my limited research these appear to be very expensive seats; maybe they don't cost for the scrimmage deal they had last night.

Anyway, I'm just wondering how this isn't a recruiting violation across the country, giving recruits the best seats in the house on unofficial visits?
Official visits I know schools are allowed to give tickets.

last night was a free scrimmage, but that doesnt mean there was a violation. too hard to determine based on the tweet alone. but at face value it would not have been a violation. i realize that doesnt answer the entirety of your question but for the most part unofficial visits are comped three seats in general seating areas. you cannot have acess to the bench area, press box, or special seating boxes. that stuff if harder to control in basketball then it is football because the area right behind the bench and press area is a common walkway.

Thursday night...........at midnight central/east coast time.

Yes UNLV did have the #1 pick in the draft. But, seriously, I think this is the first number 1 pick that I had never heard of when they called his name. Just shows that when you go to UNLV, no matter how good you are, no one will really care or talk about you that much.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Having him down the street from their university is a big deal. Can't wait to see the 30 for 30 on UNLV. Pulling in blue chip recruits, losing first round in the tourney.

It's true that Bennett was a known talent - lots of hype when he was a prep.

If anything it shows how much less coverage you get when you play in the mountain or pacific time zone, let alone the MWC. If he would have played for a Big East team you would have seen lots of articles and he would have been on ESPN more often. He's still a bit raw - but he was drafted on top-end potential, like most freshman lottery picks.

UNLV is the skid mark on the underpants of society.

Wasn't this guy supposed to be the less extreme of the two UNLV trolls? He makes that Vaughn2UNLV character look (somewhat) reasonable.

Can you translate that wall of text for me? On second thought, **** it. I'm not actually that interested in understanding whatever it was that he wrote.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

as far as the NBA, no school has an advantage. If you are good the NBA finds you. Heck UNLV has top pick last year, so I don't see ISU as having an advantage at all in that area. I think one plus for ISU is the proximity of Iowa State to his family.

I have the feeling DG and Babb wouldn't be where they are right now if it weren't for Fred. Royce is a good example for just being there because of talent though.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Could you put that guy in it so the general population doesn't have to put up with his shenanigans?

You'd never get the smell of burnt hair gel and polyester out of your grill.
