Re: Rashad Vaughn

I'm not sure. I bet most donors wouldn't even think about that. It hasn't become prevalent until recently. You probably couldn't find a single DI fan base that hasn't broken that rule.

UNTIL we land Vaughn and the NCAA looks at his tweets to him and demands JP provide a list of season ticket holders and donors and we get the death penalty:parghh:. I know how this works...

Re: Rashad Vaughn

I just saw this as well. Really wonder how NCAA will handle all of this in the future. Accessibility to people is easy now.

I think it is unenforcable. You cannot prevent someone from mentioning someone in a microblogging service. It is a speech issue imo. Direct messages fine. Or even using a handle I can understand. But any mention? No way. Chris williams, is a booster by definition as a former student can he not mention vaughn In a tweet? Really? Good luck explaining to the supreme court that the ncaa has juristiction over every former student especially when that is their business.

Hey Rashad! Come to ISU!

Ermahgerdz...I just committed a violation in the eyes of the NCAA.

Now, the real question is - if I burn my season tickets, am I still a booster? CycloneErik - how does that work?

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Since a lot of students have season tickets, does that mean we cant tweet at him as well?

A student is technically a booster. So no you can't tweet him, per the letter of the law. Whether or not that is enforced is a different question.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Vaughn will not pick Kentucky. They made it clear he was their 2nd or 3rd choice overall when they stopped recruiting him. Why would he want to pick a team that didn't even want him that bad?

It's a placed called the NBA, and Kentucky has proven over and over that they can get players there.

How hard is it really to get top ten / 5* kids out of high school drafted by the NBA?

Show me a school that puts a high number of 4* and 3* type players in the NBA on a regular basis and then I'll be impressed.

RV could play for the Mogadishu club team and still get drafted.

Part of me would like the NBA to actually use results from college before they get all hot about someone.

Why do you think the NBA instituted the 1 year removed from high school rule? It certainly wasn't to somehow protect these kids. It was so the NBA had a free forum for evaluating kids and to churn up fan interest in them before they enter the league.

If Rashad had the same exact stats next year playing at either Kentucky/ ISU, IMO he would get drafted much higher playing for Kentucky. That's all I am saying. He will be a great player wherever he goes.

Impressing you is not at issue.

Isu better than duke, north carolina and all of big 12.....for what its worth.

As long as you brought up that site, check out this one.

It is interesting their results that indicate that three schools recruit way too well for what the numbers suggest they should. You can probably guess which Coach who I shall not name **cough, cough, Cal, cough** is first on that list.
