Re: Rashad Vaughn

And that's pathetic as well... disgusted with fellow heel fans smdh... wonder if vaughn gets tired of all the tweeting from other fans

I don't think people understand what Twitter is. If he didn't want tweeted at, he wouldn't have it. Being tweeted at gives you the same notification as a retweet, and if you're famous you can have a tweet retweeted 100's of thousands times. So if being tweeted at gets you butt hurt, so would people retweeting you. It's just part if being famous.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

As long as you brought up that site, check out this one.

https://blogs.emory.edu/sportsmarke...he-best-the-worst-and-perhaps-a-bit-too-well/

It is interesting their results that indicate that three schools recruit way too well for what the numbers suggest they should. You can probably guess which Coach who I shall not name **cough, cough, Cal, cough** is first on that list.

"our premise is that recruits are interested in playing for teams that have supportive fan bases, play in high profile conferences, have dreamy coaches, are successful on the court, have significant financial resources, produce NBA players, and have storied histories."

We should have a top 10 class every year from here on out. Aside from significant financial resources (and somewhat storied history) we have all of those covered pretty well and hit a few of those points out of the park.

WYDT, I see it. I'm pretty sure that wasn't in there, but it was an editing mistake I'm sure. They intended for it to be. Nice job.

Surely they forgot, kind of how journalists put things in parentheses to infer what someone really means.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

If Rashad had the same exact stats next year playing at either Kentucky/ ISU, IMO he would get drafted much higher playing for Kentucky. That's all I am saying. He will be a great player wherever he goes.

It know it's just your opinion, but I strongly disagree. If ISU was a D2 team or played in a small time conference, I might be inclined to agree. But they don't. The BIG XII has plenty of big boy basketball, and ISU's tradition/history vs UK's doesn't mean jack squat to an NBA scout if the athlete being scouted is playing at a Lottery-pick level.

If UK was taking kids who weren't already being projected as top first-round picks and making them into lottery picks, then I'd agree with you. But that just isn't the case.

That is just incorrect. You say much higher, so if he had the same stats and gets drafted #7 playing for ISU, he would hav been #1, or #2? Bascially you are stating that NBA scouts, scouts that have done this their whole lives dont look at talent but for what team someone played for.

Dumb post is dumb.

I agree re: scouts selecting the best players for their teams; otherwise, they lose their jobs. Also, Fred's contacts with NBA teams probably increases the chances of our players going to the NBA vs. playing for UK, KU, etc. Those contacts and Fred's reputation can at least get the scouts to evaluate a player.

Re: Rashad Vaughn

Well, if that's really him then it is really good for us. My guess is it's a troll, and if it is well done.

I'm sure it'll be verified on twitter that day or after the event. If there is a findley bball game the same time, I think we'll figure it out.

And facts back up this opinion. ISU is one of the best schools in the country in getting kids draFted at higher rate than their stars out of highschool would predict. Kentucky is better than average too But not as good as ISU.

I'd also put money out that it isn't him. For one, it is very unlikely that we'd see him on an ISU wrestling blog feed. I think it is safe to say in general that basketball players and wrestlers don't exactly mix a whole lot, especially coming from the basketball side. Secondly, I've posted on many different ISU blogs in the past and all you do is simply type in your name before you post, which is ridiculously easy to do. I could be President Obama on there for all anyone cares. Lastly, ISU fans have proven by this blog alone to have a crazy obsession for Rashad that they are willing to do anything for any type of Rashad publicity. I'd almost bet as well that the dude who wrote that is on CF reading what I'm typing right now. How's it going bud?

I think this is only true for later 1st round and beyond players. Lottery picks will be lottery picks no matter where they go. Which is why 4* and lower 5* players should really want to go to ISU.

I think we tend to exaggerate this a bit. Fred's reputation may get scouts to evaluate a player. But UK, KU reputations also get scouts to evaluate their players. Bringing Fred in simply ensures that our players too get a look. But players at UK, KU etc get a look no matter who's coaching them.
