I'm willing to pass the torch on to someone else because this is not very fun. I've got this so far:

No one thinks we have a chance, and sources show they're right (even though he has visited before).
January 30, 2013 - thread starts as Vaughn is visiting for upcoming Baylor game
March 2013 - everyone worries about UNC and starts bashing Ol' Roy (which was quite funny)
May 26, 2013 - first sighting of truetarheepfan
July 31, 2013 - Vaughn trims list to 11
August 10, 2013 - reports show Vaughn is "unlikely" to give official visits to Minny, ISU, and UNLV
September 6, 2013 - madcityCY starts RV avatar trend
September 10, 2013 - Vaughn sets official for ISU
September 18, 2013 - Stumpy makes Vaughn/Fred gifs

Let me get this straight: There is a 757 page thread on a player that ISU is in the final 3 or 4 schools on and everyone is ready to give up on him coming because of some guy that has no relationship with Vaughn posted something in a tweet?

Not sure if you're referring to Jerry Meyer or not, but 'no' thats not only who or why some people have indicated their expected outcome of Tues.'s announcement. Has nothing to do with lack of faith.

I think its also that the rumors are matching up with certain things....ISU coaches were reported as shocked to hear he is announcing soon. Also, he stopped following Fred on twitter....

Its all just a set up! Vaughn is going to pull the biggest fake hat grab of all fake hat grabs and then commit to Iowa State. Then he's going to say "Hey Jerry Meyer" while winking at the camera.

You have been negative through the entire thread you house divided fan (worst of them all). Secondly, everyone and their mother thought Wiggins was goings to FSU leading up to his announcement and that dude has lit us up twice this year.. The fact is that until he actually comes out and says I'm going to _____. We all can believe what we want to believe. Writing off ISU now is a little premature, I remember over a year ago people thought we were not even being considered by RV anymore and here now we are probably in his top 2-3. I won't consider us out until I hear it from him myself.

Reported by who, more 'sources' and rumors? If he did decide on UNC or UNLV, I could see him springing it on the coaches, but it's amusing how rumors turn into fact as the thread pages continue.

I said this earlier in this thread but the fact that we have little to no info on Vaughn is causing us to make overly large assumptions on nothing at all...
Groupthink takes over and next thing you know everyone who thought he would be a Cyclone is now on the UNLV boat. Just like in the movie 12 Angry Men.
I think everyone was shocked to hear him announcing so soon because he said he wanted to make a decision in late Feb. early Mar. Second, I wouldn't read too much into the unfollowing on twitter. I think it was done to hype up his decision and show no perceived favorites. We have seen he has a good relationship with Fred and his family (wishing Carol a happy Birthday, followed his daughter). I'm not proclaiming that RV is guaranteed to be a Cyclone, just not to read too much into nothing.

Jerry Meyer must have told him.
Who does Cyhawk work for the NSA?? I highly doubt Fred would tell anyone if the conversation he had with a highly sought after recruit. I also doubt any of the assistants would talk about anything like that with anyone either...

Its debatable whether he actually just now unfollowed him. One person said that, another said he hasnt followed him for a long time. He also doesnt follow any of the other coaches.

Regardless of what happens this has been a fun thread to participate in. Lets not turn on each other now, or turn on Vaughn for that matter.
I remember reading posts in the summer of 2012 that Vaughn wouldn't even consider ISU. Oh how far we've come.
