A few people seem to think he'll be eligible this year. Hopefully we can get him either way.
I’ve only seen the article with his dads cryptic comments on the waiver. Have other people expressed confidence in his immediate eligibility?

If Bolton is eligible next year, I'd take him. I know everybody is excited about Tucker, but I just don't trust mid-major guys moving up.
Guards are more likely to have success than posts when moving up in conferences. Also, Tucker is a big, strong, athletic, and highly talented guard. He will be a stud wherever he decides to transfer to.

Couple thoughts, first I really like the idea of finishing off the class with Bolton and Tucker from a standpoint of transition to the 2020 class and beyond. Bolton and Jackson lesson the need to sign a point guard in 2020 class allowing Prohm to go all-in on a big time recruit as Haliburton will be at or nearing the of his time in Ames in 2021. The only negative I see on Bolton is 2P FG% but he was second in FT attempts while shooting 87% so that does move the needle favorably.

Tucker, is a perfect fit. Likely #1 or 2 scorer from the 3G/SF. Gives Leech a year to grow. Then moves on to make room for Blackwell. While still leaving open scholarships for Foster and Carlson.

This would be a really good get. Wonder if both want to commit would they take both?

We all said the same thing about Mark Alstork who went to Illinois over us, and that guy was not good. I might be biased but I'll take the high major guy every time.
I don't disagree, I'd prefer P5, but Tucker has proven he can put up numbers against top competition. I believe he put up 29 on Memphis last year and over 20 on Georgetown.

Just a couple posters on other Cyclone boards. Might be the same poster, but made it sound like they thought he would be immediately eligible.

Are you surprised that CSP had a plan?

Honestly, a little bit if this really was in the works.

I generally like him, but I also can admit that I don't see a consistent identity to his teams. What is his program known for? What's the most reliable feature of what his teams do season to season?

Perhaps that's still in the works as well and we'll see more of it this next season. And reminder, I'm looking forward to next basketball season--the players coming back have some great potential.

Well, Hoiberg was known for really good offense (and generally crappy defense). Coach Prohm has kept the offense pretty close, but added some defensive ability. I think the latter may not give you quite as much of an "identity", but I think it is better for competing for championships.

Efficient offense. Top 11 offense in 3/4 years. One thing I noticed in KC is our spacing on offense. It's something we hear the announcers talk about, but it's different when you see it live. We take advantage of the entire court and let our guards do all of the heavy lifting. I admit it's not my favorite style of play, but it's what we do. I enjoyed the spacing/set plays/inside out game of Hoiberg, but Prohm has shown that this style can showcase guards/creators.
