I have no idea why a guy like Ray lima doesn't get drafted. An all big 12 player. He has the size and the skill. Leader of the best defense in the league 3 years in a row.

When he came he he was considered a stone cold lock for the NFL. (Seriously, dig up the threads) Now nothing. I just don't get it.
Now that they’ve seen him play at a P5 level, Ray has the reputation of being a slow, not explosive player. A plodder. Had we had our pro day and he’d put up good testing numbers in front of scouts, that would have made them reevaluate.

We didn’t have our pro day. And I’m pretty sure Ray isn’t the only Cyclone that affected the same way, either.

Some of the small school guys who did get drafted were ones that did manage to get their pro days in before the shutdown—because the school was so small they were the only prospect, and NFL scouts didn’t feel a need to wait until after the Combine, or until that school’s Spring practice.

Lima will get his shot to show what he can do. He's just not a very explosive DT but a space eater.

I’ll let you in on a little secret. Charlie Kolar chose to stick around for another year. So now we have a chance for Baylor’s 2019 in 2020.

For that matter, if everyone “sticks around” who can after the ‘20 season, Baylor’s ‘19 < ISU ‘21.

Hope you're right. But last year was so crazy how nearly every close game went against ISU and for Baylor. It'll take a bit of luck and opportunistic play to go along with that talent if what you say is to come true.

Don’t want to speak for all of Dolphin nation, but I’m a Dolphins fan and based on social media accounts I follow, Lima is only behind Benito Jones in undrafted free agents the fan base is excited about. Benito is a DT

Agreed. Baylor's defense was good at forcing turnovers last year, which obviously played a huge part.

Three plays go our way (Iowa, Baylor, OU), season looks a lot different. However, if Purdy doesn't recover that fumble against UNI and we miss the FG against UT, we are looking at a 5 win season.

Right. We were not unlucky by any means. Average luck. Neither good nor bad.
