maybe all these kids going pro dont have any common sense because they must realize that they can play 2 more years of college football or they can not get drafted (or get drafted late) and have to play in Canada (or not at all) or sit on the bench in the NFL

really if i had the chances these kids have i would stay and play all four years of football and there is not reason for josh freeman from K State to enter the draft because every QB and there mother is going out for the draft this year and he cant think he has a legit shot at making it

i might be wrong but i sure do think im right:wink:

Except that some of them probably arent going to improve much further in another year anyway, in fact may lose ground (Leinart) and Freeman has a new coach coming in that surely wont help him much because he prefers more mobile QBs.

Who's leaving that's not going to get drafted? Freeman is the 4th QB listed. Or maybe he's just not interested enough in school to continue. That's a lot of money to turn down.

Actually most of the quarterbacks that would have gotten drafted very high ARE returning... McCoy, Bradford, Tebow.

I personally think Freeman is smart for going this year...

Tebow is a 3rd rounder. Probably not any higher. He is not the prototype NFL QB. His arm strength is not very good.
Freeman has a cannon and has good size. He has what they call "upside". Freeman is a top 4 QB on the draft boards. He makes perfect sense. Bradford wants to go back to school so I see no reason why not. He can become a legend.

Tebow has good arm strength, just a really slow delivery and bad throwing footwork. Word is they may bring in or he may pay for a QB guru to work with him all off season and summer to work on his pro shortcomings...

Man, I'm in school working on a degree in Civil Engineering, if someone offered me a three year contract to learn "on the job" and quit school early, I'd take it in a heartbeat.

Exactly, that's what I tell my wife all the time. Most people go to school for the credentials to get a higher paying job. Why wouldn't you take your dream job if it meant leaving school early? The education will always be there, available for you to pursue, the chance to play in the NFL may not be.
