What a great hire!!!! Floyd & Eustachy understood the tradition here, even as outsiders. Morgan had no clue, and McDermott had his heart in the right place, but never quite grasped the Cyclone hunger for success in the basketball program.

I do not expect instant success. I expect at least 2 years of growing pains, followed by consistent NCAA births.

Big bold prediction: You will see ISU back in the NCAA tournament in 3 years, final4 in 7, and a title in 12.

I don't want to believe, I do believe.

Welcome home Fred. Your hiring just ensured another season-ticket holder.

Question. Will you hate the hire if Hoiberg takes Colvin back?

No, but I will still hate Colvin for quitting under the advise of his "advisors".

I don't hate Tubby Smith for keeping Joe Crawford when he tired to leave Keuntucky, but I dogged on Crawford for whining just to get his way. Loved it when he had the game of his life in the NCAA tournamnet as a senior, and UK still lost.

ICWUDT

Actually seeing this guy being excited about this hire after his Colvin post is making me question the hire more than Fred's lack of coaching experience.

Fair enough. just wondering since you felt so strongly about Colvin.
