Not worried about Minny for Thomas. Maybe he can tug Vaughn's ear.

Here is the story for the St. Raymond's championship game yesterday. A lot is written about Okoro. Didn't see if this was posted or RT'ed by SvrWx...

Star power: Okoro, Dingle lead Ray's to first Archdiocesan title since '05 - m.NYPOST.com

Excerpts:

...When Mount (20-7) got within 53-52 with 4:37 left on a vicious Omani Manhertz slam dunk from Malik Gill, Dingle responded with two straight baskets. The 6-foot-5 Okoro did it on offense and defense, guarding Gill, the lightning-quick 5-foot-9 point guard, in the fourth quarter.

“Kerwin is big enough and quick enough,” St. Raymond coach Oliver Antigua said. “That was the game plan and it worked.”...

...Antigua was happy for Okoro, who hasn’t had his best season in terms of scoring points, but does everything else that helps St. Ray’s win.
“If he scores four points, he’s happy and if he goes for 23 and 14, he’s happy,” Antigua said. “He just wants to win. … That’s why he’s going to the Big 12.”...

Note: The Marc Raimondi story lists Okoro as 6'-5". Previously saw him listed as 6'-4", so maybe he's grown a bit. Maybe he'll add another inch yet.

Sounds like a perfect fit for our team with his team-first and lock-down defensive mentality. Maybe a smaller Ejim. Definitely like that he is able to guard small point guards.

Wow...so now we could be 2 over the limit for 2012-2013 if Pelle were to commit. That should throw the transfer talk groupies into a feeding frenzy the likes we've never seen before.

Check the Pelle thread. No need to wait for a commit.

as long as we are getting better I'm fine with it. 99% of the posts on this board are just simple fan speculation if players are too soft to ignore it they probably don't have the mental toughness to play at the level this team is headed anyway.
