You just defined oversigned.

Not sure why you can't comprehend what I posted but I'll try again. Sledge and Gibson did not sign their LOIs until after McKnight and Phillips left the program so there was no oversigning by Fred. If NWC decides on ISU, he more than likely will not sign with ISU until next spring and that is only if someone currently on the roster leaves.

So you agree RWs the only guy Fred could know is leaving before the season starts.

I would never say "only" or "never" when it comes to ISU basketball. If NWC were to commit tomorrow I can't think of any scenario that would make me glad that he did. I hope we don't get him because we have no room for him.

And no, i don't think that Fred knows that Royce is leaving after next year. Not enough to oversign.

I didn't say he does, I just said that's the only possibility that Fred would know before a the season starts. I think it's unlikely as well because RW is too smart to not wait till after the season.

Mark Miller (@WisBBYearbook) reports that ISU will visit Matt Thomas's school again this week.

this might be a silly thing to say, but does anyone else think coach Fred is trying to get an early commitment out of Thomas, so resources can be focused elsewhere (Detroit, NYC)?

It sure seems like Thomas has been a priority, which is very interesting considering the current rankings have him the lowest of all the guards that have been high on our list.

Also in the 2013 class, PF Toby Hegner received an offer from Valpo to go along w/ offers from Marquette, Northwestern & ISU.

2013 G Bronson Koenig committed to Wisconsin this weekend, selecting the Badgers over North Carolina. Wisconsin had yet to offer Thomas but now with Koenig's decision, it seems much more unlikely they will offer which significantly helps ISU's chances with Thomas.

Koenig to Wisky is GREAT news. I feel better about Thomas than any other 2013 offer.

Agree on Koenig. Maybe the fact that Fuller is in Wisky's backyard, is further reason not to be interested in Thomas.

I'm not sure there is any way Thomas can't commit to ISU. I'm kidding, but I'm not...really.

For Thomas, he has two unofficial visits in Ames, this will be the 3rd time in the fall contact period that we (Fred) has been to watch him workout. Fred watched how many of his summer AAU games, and we were on him early last spring, first high-major offer IIRC. Possibly 2nd offer overall.

If that isn't building a relationship, saying "we want you bad" - don't know what is.

There were rumors that Wisconsin extended an offer to Matt Thomas this weekend, however no one has been able to verify thus far. Given how many times we've made a visit to him and that he has stopped by campus twice we are a likely favorite and it certainly appears Fred is trying hard for that early commitment.

Not sure how the recruiting services view Thomas's athleticism, but no doubts about his dead-eye shooting. I would love to have him on the team.

Most analysts agree with the great shooting touch on him and the ability to nail down mid-range and long-range shots. Most say he needs to add some bulk (most do out of HS) and work on his rebounding skills, but agree he has potential to put up big numbers. I've seen a few people say he needs to work on the dribble drive as well rather than be a pure setup shooter, regardless I definitely like his potential and apparently CFH does as well.

I dont' care what big time programs are going to offer this kid. We are going to have a good chance to sign this dude because of how hard Fred is recruiting him. I put my trust in Freddy

I put quite a few updates onto Twitter over the past 30 minutes including some of our 2013 targets. One that I'm very interested in is Jaylen Brantley, he played AAU for BABC with Georges Niang and Nerlens Noel and has told me (about a month ago) that he was planning to visit Iowa State with Georges on Oct 22.

I'm still doing some updating, but be sure to check out the future new home of the recruit lists: Iowa State Mens Basketball Recruiting

Another round of big updates on Twitter tonight, the largest coming for 2013 PG Tyler Ennis who had Bill Self at his workout today. Louisville & Georgia Tech were also there...

Tyler Ennis also has multiple other high major prospects on his team, so St. Benedicts (NJ) will likely be getting looks for many coaches for a few years the way their team is stacked up currently.
