Apparently there was a 5-Star bball camP this weekend, in which some Romulus/ REACH players attended. Kris Clyburn is listed as a "player to watch" here: Five-Star Basketball Chicago Super Session Aug 10-12 Day 1 & 2 Five-Star Basketball Camp

Also, Will tweeted something a day or two ago that his "lil bro" was coming to Ames this week. Not sure if that's Terrell or Kris...

Take this for what it's worth. I'm just here to stir the pot!

From some tweets it sounds like Naz Long played in some Canadian thing this weekend and performed well. Sketchy info. though.

Man, the brother's look nearly identical. It would be awesome if Kris really steps up to become a bigtime recruit and then commits to ISU. That would be a great storyline and I'd take two Will Clyburns in our program over multiple years any day of the week.

Where's Abu?

Two guys that have to be close to the Top 75 and are not included that have Cyclones offers are Abdul-Malik Abu and Reid Travis; actually lets make it three and include Clayton Custer as well. The staff is after some big names in the 2014 class and a lot of ones who aren't big names now have potential to be big names as they continue to develop.

In my opinion, at this point feel very confident in the caliber of players we are after in the 2014 class.

Just too kind of stir up the pot a bit... How many of these top 100 guys in 2014 that we are after do think we will end up getting? If any? Not a serious question because that's way down the road but just for some fun

Not to mention other "under the radar" types like Darrell Davis, Justin Tillman, etc.

My guess is like Niang and Thomas, you're going to see us after some 2014 guys that jump up in the rankings as they develop. Hoiberg and staff have shown an incredible eye for talent.

Well, I was classifying them under the "ones who aren't big names now have potential to be big names as they continue to develop."

But, agreed on that point. And, as far as how many we actually get that is of course a big unknown but I definitely think grabbing at least two in the Top 100 for 2014 has good potential of happening.

If we can seal the deal on 2 more top 150 guys for 2012 and make it to post season play this season (Sweet 16?). I think that creates even more buzz for the program & Hoiberg. This would make us even bigger contenders for 2014-15 recruits.

Ah!... Yes. I guess I'm not posting with my full attention and focus today. Stupid work has me distracted. My bad - I resolve to do better.

Things have kept fairly silent as of late, still expecting to see a few more recruits trim down their list before the month of August is complete. A few of the recruits that we have shown the most interest in (Hassan Martin, Byron Zeigler, Martez Walker, etc.) have been completely quiet, so the lack of significant updates shall continue.

At least we have this spiffy new CF layout to mess with!
