Interested is a start. But to 'get them' is the real test. Miles Bridges is blowing up and so sought after, I wonder if we're even on his radar so-to-speak. Especially since Mich/Mich St are on it. I know stars don't guarantee success, but hopefully we're destined to get one or two of these 5-star guys (someday). Not sure why I feel like Diallo might be our next best chance, but guess I'm not optimistic on anyone else. On another note, it will be interesting to see what guys like Abu, Vaughn, etc. will do for their respective teams in the next few seasons.

If Sparty (or possibly UM) puts the full-court press on Bridges, I'd say good luck to us. If not - I think we have a great shot at him.

qualifier: long time to go on this one.

you're wondering if we're on the radar of a player advised by jeff grayer? really?

Yes, I know the connection and who Jeff Grayer is.... and yes I still question whether he has a "strong interest" in us, which is what I refer to as being on his radar. Of course he knows about us, and I'm not saying we'll stop recruiting him.

I already have visions of Bam Bam getting ally oop passes from Man Man.

"I think I've been playing well," Adebayo told Rivals.com. "I'm getting good exposure. The guards are giving me the ball in the post, sometimes at these camps it is all about the guards."

Rugged and tough, Adebayo has a long and wiry strong play and has a style similar to a Montrezl Harrell type. He is comfortable as an above the rim power player but is working hard to improve his ability to attack via one or two dribbles and make short jumpers.

"I've really been working on it since last summer," said Adebayo. "I'm trying to perfect getting by people with a shot fake and dribble and hitting the elbow jumper.

Adebayo didn't want to speak about a school list and said that he is wide open in the process. He did mention that he has heard from N.C. State, Iowa State, Duke, Memphis and Wake Forest since coaches could start making contact with rising juniors last week.

However, Adebayo also cautioned that he is just in the infancy stages of his recruitment and that there are several other schools in contact with his mentor Eric Peartree. It is clear that Adebayo thinks highly of his mentor and he will lean on him for guidance.

So...the question is, do we have anyone on staff that knows Eric Peartree well?

Or you could help a young man with no father make his way through some difficult and important and decisions. For free.

Don't think we've recruited North Carolina before, at least with Fred. Could this be a Henry guy?

Bridges seems like he has a really good head on his shoulders. Speaking generally, I feel like his attitude fits in well with the other high school guys that have committed to ISU.

There are two sides to every coin. Lots of these kids A.) don't have a father-figure, B.) can't go through the rigors of high level recruitment without mentoring/ handling, or C.) a little of both.

That does not mean that sometimes the mentor/ handler isn't looking for some kind of favor/ compensation along the way. Afterall, this is high stakes.

I can say without a doubt that if I had a son who was being recruited by D1 programs - the recruitment would run [largely] through me. Now if I wasn't around... who would tell them 'Ole Roy is slime, and that Fred is the salt of the earth?

...I'm sure a bunch of you fools would volunteer... and you'd want somethin' out of it.

...even if it's a just couple of clone cones, or sittin' next to Carol at the games. Creeps...

Speaking of recruits, a very recent video interview of Esa Ahmad indicates he's excited about a Mich & Mich State visit, but no mention of a visit to us. Doesn't sound promising considering "ISU is coming after me hard" in his words to a reporter at a much earlier event. Thought he might visit at that time, but doesn't appear that way as of now.
