Thank you Recruit Lists, Malou is visiting again today. Let the speculation begin on whose scholarship he'd take.
I can't speak for his scholarship, but I really really hope we get this guy. A lot of people keep talking about us picking up a Cato hidden somewhere. This would be as close to it as you can get. Lock him down Fred and cyclone nation can rest easy on big men for a little while.

I just noticed that Edozie is not listed as a commit on Recruit Lists. Does anyone know why? I haven't been there in quite a while but was he previously listed?

That could be the source of the open scholarship???

I really hope we get this guy too. A lot of people are saying that he is a post, but from his videos I think he is more of a 3. He kind of appears to be Kevin Durant type player. 6'9' with a 7'1' wingspan! I hope we land him. I don't think this video has been posted yet, but it appears to be a dunk contest about 6 months ago. He has hops!

I think people are really thinking he may be able to guard the middle defensively, especially as he fills out, regardless of where he plays on offense.

Also, a lot of big guys look like wings until you see them guarded by a collegiate level player, and then they can't do anything on the perimeter. I do agree he looks like a 3 offensively in the vids, but I think you'd really need to see him handle and shoot against defense to be able to have a better idea.

He doesn't look explosive enough to play the 3, but hopefully he'd make an athletic 5, that can run the court and help spread our offense even more.

More importantly, his wingspan could alter some shots and prevent teams from taking the ball to the hole on the defensive end.

He, Armardi, Niang, Ejim and Percy would give us very good depth and matchup possibilities in the post. You might chose to play Niang a little at the 3 in situations, especially with Niang still being a 3rd perimeter shooting option.

Was informed by his coach that he would be in attendance. Someone that was able to attend the game would have to confirm that he was actually there.

SvrWxCy, what can we take from Edozie not being on the commit list?

I saw Booker, does that count? Just kidding. Yeah you would think someone would have spotted him. I don't think he was sitting where the recruits usually sit. I am in the balcony though so I could be wrong.

I can confirm he was there. I saw Hoiberg talking to him after the game. Was O'Mara in attendance?

It sounds like Malou is this year's Norvel Pelle.

In all likelihood, a foreign player at a brand new prep school in Urbandale, has some serious academic hurdles to overcome.
