@TravisHines21: Interesting note on new Iowa State target Drew Buggs (http://t.co/B6LZnPGjBx) is his father, Andrew, played football for the Cyclones.

The link is the same as the one I posted earlier.

I'm liking how this recruiting period has been going

Funny how we're starting to see the connections that Fred and Matt A and Corn made the first time around really get us some "ins" with the newest batch. I think we're gonna see that start to pay off in a big way with the next few recruiting classes.

Looks like he would choose Kansas if they offer, I'm not sure we can beat out a blueblood when he lives 10 miles from Fog Allen and grew up following KU basketball.

Yeah, probs not.

"I've had contact with Coach Greg McDermott from Creighton, Coach Steve Henson from Oklahoma, and coach Roberts from Kansas," says Ballock. "If I had to pick one school to attend, it would be Kansas because I live ten minutes from campus, and love the traditions of KU basketball."

I agree that this recruiting is a snowball art. The longer you do it, the more small successes you have, and the more connections you make only compound upon themselves to help you in the future. While ISU has had some success so far no doubt, I feel as if we have yet to bust open the floodgates quite yet on high school recruiting, but I feel that we are very much on the verge of it over the next couple years. Once that happens, I think things will get lots easier. In the meantime, lets just keep winning, which only puts more and more stress on that floodgate. One thing that is for sure, it helps having a great coach too that wields a large hammer.

I also like how we seem to offer based on our own assessments of players, not necessarily on the STARZZ they have. It's interesting to see how many of these guys end up on those lists.

Recap from the 17U USA camp. Ellenson, Coffee and Terrell Brown mentioned.

Recruiting Update:
There aren’t many highly regarded players from Rhode Island, but 6’10” Terrell Brown is about to be one of them. Heading into his junior year at St. Andrew’s, Brown put together a strong performance on opening night. He is only a three-star recruit per Scout.com, but that could change in the near future when he starts to add some muscle to his lanky frame. Right now, Brown noted that some of the schools interested in him are Iowa State, Syracuse, and St. Joseph’s. Brown noted that Boston College had previously offered a scholarship, but that the in-state Providence Friars had not.
