He has visited Butler and is visiting Xavier. They have a shot too.
Was his visit to Butler before or after Stevens left? I just assumed Stevens leaving puts a damper on recruiting for Butler until the new coach proves himself.

Even sugar coating it, that article wasn't too promising...
Nothing jumped out as overly positive. Truth is, Michigan worries me as a darkhorse

I couldn't read the article, for some reason, so there is my caveat.
We've all heard hearsay he wasn't impressed on his first visit. Right, wrong or indifferent, his first visit was during the summer. Getting Johnson to come back, during the weekend reported, is positive in my eyes for two reasons:
- He is making a second visit, which makes me think the hearsay may have been just that
- If he wasn't impressed the first time, he will be the 2nd time.
As impressive as Louisville and Big Pitino might be, they can't possibly hold a candle to Ames on that day. Add Hoiberg and Mann...should make a great impression.
I'll summerize it for you:
1. People have assumed Louisville is the favorite. His coach thinks it is wide open now.
2. Taking officials to Oregon, Louisville, and Florida State
3. Coach said that Mann and Hoiberg have done a good job showing up for lots of games this summer
4. Coach says he fit in well with the team on his June visit and the style of play fits him well
5. Coach says that Hoiberg and Mann have good relationship with his mom, which will be important
6. Coach is interested in seeing what happens with his decision.
So, you can see why someone would read that article, sugar coat it, and still come away thinking Iowa State doesn't have much of a chance.
Who said negative. I just didn't get the usual great vibe that you normally get when a player had a great visit. Can't even find one quote from him about his visit here.
