Wiling to bet the meltdown here will be worse if RV picks somewhere else. On that note, McKay commit makes me much less concerned about how all that plays out, which is nice. RV would be huge, of course, but even if we whiff we're sitting pretty well and could go after a top transfer in the spring.

No doubt it'll suck if that happens, but I don't see how it could be worse than the Barnes meltdown. Not only was Barnes a local big time recruit, but we were also starting to get fed up with McDermott. It was a ****** time for the program and that was the final straw. That's not the case today. We'll be in on other big time recruits soon enough

I have no hard feelings against Minny, but I hope they fail so we can establish a pipeline up there.

Me either. Big 10 teams I can tolerate: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Purdue. The rest can **** off. If it means we get 4* or 5* talent in the future, I'm all for that though.

Honestly, I think we'll be fine with or without Vaughn. If Vaughn comes here, great. If he doesn't, then we'll still have a starting lineup of:

Morris
Thomas
Nader
McKay
Niang

If Reid Travis had picked Minny, that would change a lot of things and accelerate the growth of their program. RV choosing us could do the same, but to a lesser effect as we are already on the up. Either way...I won't be disappointed.

Watching the Oregon game, I don't think we missed out on Amardi. Probably wouldn't have played much if at all. Interesting that they also have Elgin Cook too.

Maybe, only if you based this on the first half. You may not have watched the second half. Impressive for the role he plays. He definitely would have played and contributed at ISU, imo.

I would love to have Amardi but not at the expense of Kane. Kane = NCAA.

I heard from someone inside that works a lot with staff that he is hearing staff is a lot less confident in vaughn than they were a month ago. "Waivering" was the word used. These things go back and forth of course but they see the michigan game visit as crucial in reestablishing our position, fwiw. Not really different than the overall sentiment here but seems to add some validation.

The Michigan game is playing up to be a major opportunity. National TV, major recruits, and playing a highly ranked team. I just hope that Fred can capitalize on it w/o one of his main players on the floor. For all the kicks that cyclones have taken over the years, maybe, just maybe we can start balancing the scales with a big win this time. Can hope
