I'm guessing we'll push for a commit at that point and concede that Diallo is a long shot. Just a haunch/opinion.

Yep. If Dime wants to commit during his visit I think we should take him and keep pursuing Diallo with the back-up plan already secured. Then if Diallo goes elsewhere we are okay. I'd rather take Dime and wait on Diallo than wait on Diallo and miss then also miss on Dime when it's too late.

Seems like Dime wants to commit soon. When can he sign?

This was his schedule before he moved our date:

August 29Iowa State
September 12Kansas
September 19Arkansas
September 27Washington

Thought this was interesting:

He will take four official visits and most likely make his decision before the season starts and sign in November.

Dime is from Columbus, Ohio so it looks like proximity to home isn't very relevant in his recruitment since he is considering and visiting Washington.

Someone explain to me how a guard has some different traits of 3 offensive minded forwards (Green, Niang, Dudley)?
Must be slower more methodical than a guard if Draymond, old school hooks like Georges, and around the rim a lot like Dudley.

If Dime commits to us and signs with us. We will still take Diallo. That is a no brainer. You don't say no to a top 10 recruit. You find room for him. If it's SDW or someone else. You let them know that it's time to find a different school where they will get more playing time. Dime has nothing to do with Diallo. We would take both. Plus we will probably have someone leave anyway. That is just the way it works now.

However, if he has Justin Hamilton's sense of geography, he will most certainly pick Washington.

But if Dime commits to ISU before Diallo's decision will Diallo still consider ISU?

I doubt Diallo is that scared about an unknown guy like Dime, especially when he's looking at KU and UK too.

It's not like he's not going to face competition there too.

I doubt very much that Dime will commit on his visit - I'm betting he takes all scheduled visits.

As for Darien Williams/ PT in 2015... I don't know that I will expect much from Darien, as he will have say out a year getting surgery on both shoulders. I could see him needing a year to get back up to speed with strength and shooting... Just a thought.

He has offers from Iowa State, Kansas and Creighton and that's it so far.

Just seems like every offer he gets is a major jump in program level (Creighton, Creighton-ISU, then ISU-Kansas) and the article does say he expects to have offers from every major program soon.

Also, HS frosh (soph to-be) don't usually pile up the offers. Most teams wait to offer young kids, even if it appears they'll become a top prospect.
