@MilesBridges01: Really enjoyed my visit in Ames this weekend! Can't wait to come back!
This seems to be promising tweet from Miles Bridges. I love to see he's already excited about a return trip.

I like our chances with Bridges. The Monte connection, the Jeff Grayer connection, and FRED HOIBERG.

...but Man-Man and Grayer... I understand what you're saying but I think we may have a couple big variables on our side. If you're concerned about those schools, I'm guessing you won't like our chances with almost any recruit anymore.

Until we land one it's a logical thought. We will land one sometime but who and when?

Gotta get used to it. The way our program is right now every recruit we are after will most likely have a blue blood to compete against

Bridges is one of the best players in the 2016 class, and the bluebloods are on him. When that is the case, it might not matter what kinds of connections we have. I'm not saying we don't have a chance (we do), I'm just saying that the those name brands can quickly nullify any perceived advantage we think we might have.

Another conference tournament title and another deep NCAA tournament run will make the 2016 class special (potentially). Plus we can sell replacing Niang to a top tier '16 guy like Bridges.

The problem with competing against the blue bloods is that they pay their players (boosters do I guess you should say). Everybody knows it...these kids are going to get offered large sums of cash. Is ISU playing ball like that? Who could say but either we find boosters to play ball like the big boys or Fred is seriously one of the best recruiters in the game. I'm not so sure Fred isn't a next level recruiter but still....people have got to understand these kind of players want paid. A lot of them anyway....

Yeah, cause you have to pay a guy to go to Kansas or Kentucky...he would never want to go there for any other reasons. Good grief.

As much as I loath "twocoach" I agree with his statement. Kansas/Kentucky don't have to pay their players. They have winning traditions, and great exposure, exactly what is needed to get those types of recruits. UNLV on the other hand, is a little bit of a head scratch-er, minus the Las Vegas part. ISU is getting more and more exposure and we are building success, as long as we keep Mr. Hoiberg we'll continue that upward trajectory.
