Not sure how you get that from what I've read. He's taking visits in the Spring which means multiple schools will be in play. Those 2 schools may lead now but with him waiting until Spring that will change.

Just a gut feel and based on the fact that Prohm is talking to him several times per week, and the PT situation at ISU will look extremely compatible for a juco.

If he visits in Sept and still wants to wait until Spring to commit, then clearly it's not looking good. But time tables for committing change all the time, so I wouldn't rule out a fall commitment if he's serious with ISU.

Maybe Arkansas and Virginia are the real competition there. Another possibility is that Fran really thinks Kriener is underrated and has as much upside as Tyler Cook. It seems like they might take at most one more Forward type but doubtful. They don't have much currently on their roster for 2016 with just Uhl, but have Ahmad Wagner, Dale Jones, Isaiah Moss, and Brandon Hutton coming in this year to go along with Pemsl and Kriener. Some of those guys are probably more in the wing/SF category though, so they still could take one more post.
From what I read on the Iowa board, Pemsl is a 3, Kriener is a 5 and Cook is a 4. But in any case, they need size before they are left with an entire roster of 6'5" guys.

Similar to our needs after this year.

But they are athletic spiders. Anyway, back to ISU recruiting. Really hoping for a Waters visit scheduled soon.

Are all of our threads going to be talking about Iowa's recruiting?
Agree that it's abnoying. We weren't even really chasing either of these guys but people feel the need to discuss it. I don't get why we can't just stick to talking about ISU recruiting since Iowa has nothing to do with this thread.

So Simpson is visiting next weekend and it sounds like he cancelled his Purdue trip this weekend because of a death in the family. Need to roll out the red carpet for him

Who was the target that was supposedly going to trim down his list by the end of the week? Has he trimmed it?
I'm pretty sure it was Jeriah Horne. Looks like he just got an offer from Memphis too.

Grant Milner
@GrantMilner
Memphis offered 2016 forward @JeriahHorne1 last night. He talks about it here: memphis.247sports.com/Bolt/Tigers-of…

.@JeriahHorne1: "If not later this week or early next week I should have a top-5 that I’ll probably go ahead and let everyone know about."

Lindy Waters was supposed to announce his list this week as well. Nothing yet though.
