Why couldn't the same thing happen as Xavier Simpson to Michigan for us? We have to be one of the most negative thinking fan bases around. Always expecting the worse. Maybe Arlando left us off the list because he took a secret unofficial visit to ISU this weekend and the coaching gave him and Curry the ultimatum of whoever gets their commitment to them first gets the scholly? LOL just saying a little positivity out of this board would go a long ways...
Simpson was one of the strangest recruitments and situations in recent years. I guess if you want to dream about that go ahead but I'd put realism over optimism when discussing recruiting.
I am not being negative at all I can see us landing Curry but I do not hold my breath. If it happens it happens. If not I have trust in the staff to find right fit
Also the list that Arlando provided on twitter, maybe the OSU was a typo for LSU or ISU since 247 doesn't even have OSU showing interest or offering. Rivals does but only because they updated it after he cut to 5 schools. Just being a contrarian here. I think he goes to Arkansas personally but not because Malou came to ISU! We shall see soon enough.

Never underestimate the value of the "guaranteed by the HC to start for as long as they are there" in recruiting.
Now we'll see if it works for Fran with Tyler Cook.
That is wild. I was almost sure that he was going to Arkansas to beat Curry to the punch. Now I think its a two person race between Minnie and Ark for Curry. I think we are the underdog at this point.
I worked at UNR (as it is sometimes called by the locals there) and at Lawlor Events Center (their arena) for a little over 2 years. It is about an 11,000 seat arena, and not to bad for a smaller school.
If this were a football player choosing Nevada over those other schools, it would be understandable, as their football program has put quite a few players in the NFL over the years.
This is surprising though. The basketball program has had a little bit of success in recent years, and Musselman does have an NBA background, but this is his first year as coach, and I think his first year as a collegiate head coach.
As others have mentioned, he must have been promised guaranteed playing time.

Since joining the MWC, Nevada hasn't had a winning record and finished last or second to last 2 of the last 3 years.
