That's the way I read it too.

High odds he's a Cyclone by the middle of next week IMO.

Hope you're right....but just to play devil's advocate, didn't we just find out about the visit right after the weekend? The same weekend that Stokes visited TCU? Although I haven't seen any post-visit comments from him about his TCU visit, surely its just a coincidence.

I think the timelime follows Feazells de commitment . Although I believe we offered him before all that, just heated up when Feazell left

That's what I think too. Prohm has always said he wanted one front court player that is a Juco or transfer to add experience.

We bring back no proven experience next year, so we were always going to look for the right transfer.

We hadn't heard any names so it seems like it's out of the blue, but the coaches have probably been leaning this way for a while.

Prohm and his staff seem like they keep everything close to their chests. Unlike Fred, we really only learn about a recruit when they schedule their visit.

I would imagine there are a couple of names we haven't even heard yet.

Most of the coaches have been focused on the high school targets as the commitments come and that talent resource dwindles they will start to look at JuCo ranks to fill their schollies. As the early signing period nears we will start hear about a few more names from there. Then it will be transfer season to fill the last spot or two. It just seems a little slow due to Prohm landing Lewis McNeil and Feazell in the summer and focused on Wigginton and Stokes in the fall. With the Feazell de-commit we hear about Ewing. No doubt the staff is looking at all options for the final 3 positions.

I doubt this had anything to do with Feazell or Stokes. Prohm has said all along that he wanted one or more JUCOs in this class. As others have pointed out, Solomon Young is probably going to be the only returning post with any experience. We need Stokes AND Ewing, and I think we would've taken Feazell and Ewing both.

Sounds like Prohm might be trying to steal his girlfriend.

“He’s a very busy guy, but Coach Prohm talks to me every other day, he checks on my family, checks on my girlfriend to see how she’s doing, he really wants me to be a part of this program and he’s doing all the right things to catch my attention,” Ewing said.

Prohm doing this = coach is being cool

If Lon Kruger does this....

I wonder how long we can keep going to the "you'll play a role like Georges Niang" well? We've been getting good mileage out of that line recently.

In Alex Halsted article Ewing told him he got the ISU offer in the past 3 weeks which aligns almost perfectly with Feazell de-commitment. From the short videos I've seen of each they seem to have similar type of games. Could be just coincidence and they would have taken both as Ewing would be more likely ready to play right away next year. We'll never know. No doubt the staff ramped up his recruitment once Feazell jumped to Miss St and is a priority now.

Now I have no inside information. Haha I mean who do I think I am? Cyrocksmy pants? Of course not...nobody is.

When I heard it it didn't strike me as a one-sided decision. Whether it was optimism about lard or our other post players or a potential Juco transfer.

I would say shelf life for that will be just this year unless he can eventually become a starter for the Pacers. We all know Georges, but as this article pointed out, a lot of recruits won't.

“They want me to play like the guy who just went in the Draft,” Ewing said, referring to Georges Niang.
