I hear what you're saying Chris, I really do. Rhoads has done much better lately with the JUCOs, no doubt. I just get a little heartburn when we move from "needing" 2 or 3 JUCOs in a given year, to 6 or 8. It smells a little desperate to be doing 6-8 JUCOs in after Year 5.

I think CPR is looking for on-field production (ala Bibbs). It's like the Bud Light commercial...its not "desperate" if it works.

I hope the guys who were fighting for the positions stay in the fight. Even if some of these JUCOs start, we are only one play from needing the next guy. And it would be great to be able to play more than one guy at a position without having a performance drop. We need a boost with starters, but also on the bench.

This just means we need more immediate help for the defense in case our offense does not progress enough. The jucos get the schollies instead of the walk-ons. 85 schollies may not be enough to keep the BCS ships afloat and they need to sneak a few extra with two year jucos. If we were tjhe only ones, I would be worried, but BCS schools are using jucos all over. This helps ensure more success next year.

There are holes in the '11 and '12 classes...that's why you bring in Juco's. The point of the article is that we need really good players to fill those holes and we got some who are in a whole lot more demand than we were able to get in those classes. Additionally, the holes they are filling were those left by the Juco's from the '11 & '12 classes.
Umm...no. Holes in the '10 and '11 classes, yes. No reason to malign a bunch of guys who just finished being redshirt freshmen.

haha forgot about him. I was thinking safeties that had other good offers. I can't remember who Sims had offers from, but I do know he was committed to Oklahoma out of high school
Actually, he was committed to OU out of JC, then took a year off before signing with us.
