So by "moving parts" I take that to mean DePaul is moving some money around to pay his AAU coach...since they haven't had much success lately someone had to dip into their 401k.
Or maybe we are in attempt to counter DePaul's legitimate connections to Juiston.

Let's not treat him as though he's Vaughning us.

he was never really as good as all the hype he was getting anyway. Junkyard dog type who rebounds but not likely a great offensive player in a Power 5 conference in terms of scoring.

I agree his legend has grown due to our need, but he would be a great addition. Strong, athletic and relentless. Basically what we've been missing down low for a few years.

Nothing of note over on the Depaul forums, although i found this list of reasons he should go to Depaul amusing.

"
1) DePaul lacks a true power forward. He can step in and start right away.
2) DePaul will be a vastly improved team next year, with numerous underrated players coming in.
3) they play in the Big East, arguably the top basketball conference in the country, no patsies from top to bottom. He can visit home at least 3 times a year with the road games (St Johns, Seton Hall, BE tournament) and yet be away from home.
4) his Brother and friend and AAU teammate Eli Cain is a top player on the team, so he'll know someone close right away.
5) DePaul moves into their own arena next year, a brand new state of the art arena right in a hot trendy area close to downtown and to the students.
6) Chicago is one of the great cities of the world. You won't be in the cornfields or in the desert with nothing to do. The Chicago Bulls play nearby. NBA scouts are always around since this is a hub destination. Everything is in Chicago.
7) continuing to work and make a living in the city is easy since tens of thousands of graduates work nearby.
8) DePaul isn't done recruiting yet, with other top players on the horizon. A tough coach and a young and hungry staff

at least half of these reasons no other school on his list is going to be able to match.

His handle is also very good and in combination with his length/athleticism/toughness would be an effective four in our system. The type of guy we've excelled with for 7 years, but with better rebounding and off ball defense.

I guess the only one I really disagree with is 7. And the first part of 3.

If he chooses DePaul then it's simply AAU handler getting something along with his BFF being the pg.

Outside of that he would be choosing the worst P6 program in past decade.

Lighten up, Francis...it was a joke.

Everybody knows that anyone who works for or graduated from DePaul doesn't have a 401k.

(1.) Starting on a team that has not made the postseason since Wayne Morgan was in Ames (that is, 2003-2004) sounds like a some pretty weak sauce to me.

(2.) Well, nowhere to go but up, considering they won 2 conference games last year and managed to lose both of their games to St. John's.

This must have been a fun game for the home crowd...

(3.) Nope. Night in and night out, #1 Big 12 and #2 ACC. They might be #3. I guess you can say there are no cupcakes on the schedule when you are the cupcake, though.

Yeah, Shakur isn't even tweeting really. Last tweet I saw was about him talking to Barnes on his visit here.
That is what is weird to me. He didn't tweet at all coming into recruitment time, he had a bunch of retweets of his NJCAA tourney highlights, but not much else. Then he had like 4 tweets in the span of his time here at ISU. Then nothing since. Idk, I took it as he was feeling comfortable and happy that he wanted to tweet about it, but maybe him not saying anything is more unnerving. Idk, I just need to take a step back and let whatever happens happen. I still have faith.
