If making 6 consecutive NCAA tournaments led by SR. talent is a trend that you don't like then I don't know why you're here. Duke and UK have forums too I'm sure.

Yeah because that's totally the same topic Gunner. You're about as dumb as they come on this board. Collective IQ of this board would raise about 30 points if you took your sorry ass to a blue blood board.

Steve has a lot to thank Fred for. Left him with a phenomenal base. However, Fred basically stopped recruiting high schoolers towards the end. Whomever took this job was going to have this very problem for a year or two. It was inevitable.

This is true. With the exception of banking 1 or 2 for spring transfers, I hope we can start getting out ahead of the curve here within the next year or two.

My IQ is actually really high. Especially when it comes to CBB reality. Go back through this season on this board, you won't find more accurate and informative posting on the 2016/17 Cyclones.

And he made the right approach. He didn't just come in and fill the scholarship spots with scraps, he still persued relatively decent prospects at first and built up to the Lewis/Wigginton lvl guys after.

Simply put within 2 years, there will be an entire roster turnover. That screams no Juniors or Sophs, as a result of no recruiting.

With the guys we all, here on CF, want this staff to start going after regularly and reeling in, recruitment will always play out to the end with a recruit or two. Its the nature of the business, and what makes it so stressful. If we can land 3 (or whatever number we have avail) HS recruits by the early signing period, allowing us to focus on more immediate needs in the spring period, I would take that any day of the week.

The point is we had no recruiting for 2 years, so Prohm had a minnie McDermott situation on his hands. And people need to cut him some slack.
I completely agree, and I am on your side. I was pointing out that because Fred didn't recruit those 1.5-2 years, Prohm was left with Seniors and the guys he could plug and place for the time being. Fred did him no favors, and I think Prohm has done a tremendous job so far. Hope he can hit on his biggest 'wants' in these final months, so we can have a line-up we feel comfortable with come fall.

Definitely think we go after 1 grad transfer if not 2 now because of the recent transfer out. Not sure we get another high school kid unless we can get on kids that want out of their current school because of coaching changes (there is going to be some big time players this spring that are free). Agree with the hope we let one scholarship stay open if we dont do that we obviously will go for a sit out transfer.

I would really hate to see Juiston go to KU. They have 7' center Azuibuke coming back from an injury and then Coleby & Bragg (even tho he struggled) at PF. Also have 5 star Preston coming in. There's no way he would start.

The way this class will finish out will only help balance out the scholly's. One Juco, one grad transfer, and one sit out transfer. I would expect us to hold 1 scholly for a mid year guy or hold it for next years class. Unfortunately, this was all unavoidable...
