People were complaining about Royce's lack of effort and how he wasn't sweating enough?

Yeah, me too.

The one thing I will miss most if Royce does go the NBA is I don't think we came even close to seeing his best game.

Last night was amazing, but I get the feeling that if he had another year that game would be the norm and there'd be several where he'd just take over and destroy everyone in his way.

I'm going to miss his beautiful passing too (if he leaves).

The first time I saw him play (can't recall which game — only got one game during first month, as I recall), I could tell he was a stud, sweat or not.

It was only a matter of how well the other 9 guys in our shallow rotation[1] could complement his game.

Kinda like Fizer at the end of his last Big XII season. It seemed like Marcus had a stretch of several games where he scored 30 points routinely and just dominated the floor.

I came to the conclusion that Royce does not need to display physical signs of effort, because he's just that good....Too effortless for him...

Remember when in the 1st half against Iowa, Royce had the ball at the 3-pt line, put one move on McCabe, took it down the lane and flushed with authority? I jumped to my feet with extreme joy.

Yeah, he did that last night against the best players in the college game.

And I thought it was a hawk thing. ha.

Regarding lack of effort ... can you imagine how bored he will be during the non-con schedule if he comes back?

They should make it more fun by trying to score 100 points in a half.

I went to a practice last year and saw this Royce White fella everyone was talking about. I couldn't wait to see what he could do because of all the hype around him. I remember him shooting jumpers and making maybe 10% of his shots. I was thinking that this guy isn't that good. As soon as I saw him play against Leigh though at the beginning of the year I took back all I said. Royce is my favorite Cyclone in any sport and is kind of like my Fred Hoiberg (since I didn't know ISU existed until '09). I wish him all the best if he stays or goes. He's a great player and an even greater person. ONE MORE YEAR!

There's an idea. Bury some of the "inferior" opponents when you have a chance, instead of waiting for the high-end games to find motivation.

One of the few annoying traits of this year's team.

And yes, if I had to choose, I'd take a strong January-and-beyond over a 112-57 win in late November. But you can have cake and eat it, too.
