Wait a minute. Texas And Oklahoma left the Big 12?!

Fair enough, but this gets back to my central question...is it good for FOX if we occupy the Pac or B1G? Or they don't care?No way it goes until 2025. Not a chance. We're seeing legal posturing for a negotiated buyout, as staying in limbo doesn't serve the interest of either side.
Yeah this is something I’m waiting to see as well.We talked here last week about ESPN managing this cabal. But collusion to destroy a contract partner is serious law. And if true, their tactics have been something less than thoughtful, actually quite sophomoric.
If the B12 now sues ESPN, the discovery process will be for the ages, won't it. The financial ramifications here are deep and wide. They affect not only the individual schools in the hundreds of millions but also cities, states, businesses, and the like.
It will be interesting to see if the SEC vote happens today or is tabled.
My guess is there is no vote today.Yeah this is something I’m waiting to see as well.
If that were to be the case, you know the B12 has one.My guess is there is no vote today.
That’d certainly be eye opening for everyone. My guess is there is no vote today.
It's great for Fox if it starts in 2025.Fair enough, but this gets back to my central question...is it good for FOX if we occupy the Pac or B1G? Or they don't care?
Yeh and countless people spent all week at the B12 media conference and no one breathed a word of TX and OK leaving. Unless your ear is in that specific room, don't expect an ounce of discussion ... yet.You know what that screams of? The PAC 12 seeing what’s going on between the SEC, ESPN, Big 12, the cease and desist, and the potential impending lawsuits, and the Pac 12 saying “um, yeah - we’re going to wait until all of this dies down and the Big 12 truly is dead before we do our poaching”.
As someone said, if the PAC 12 doesn’t expand east, they’re dead in the future of college sports.

Notre Dame is going to stay Independent, and if they don’t, they’ll go ACC.this is another big 10 company line post
The acc is off the table for the far foreseeable future.
I bet you think this will finally be what gets notre dame to come to the big 10 too
More evidence support my prediction of 0% chance of joining the PAC-12 or Big 10.
Yes, you are going to hear nothing publicly after yesterday's events. "Sources" are going to become extremely careful about who they are talking to and what they are telling them. You know what that screams of? The thing is that I don't think the people actually running the PAC12 really care if sports are greatly de-emphasized. If the president of Stanford woke up tomorrow and never had to go to another football fundraiser, do you think he'd be upset about it all?
Summary (which has already been posted ad nauseam): B12 > AAC, B12 GOR buys time, P5's not ready for B12 remains ... yet, but will absorb depending on outcome of litigation, GOR, and ongoing content assessment for next 2 years (benefitting ISU).Frank the Tank has always been an interesting blog to follow in terms of conference realignment. He is Big Ten centric, but has a pretty good feel over the years as to how it often plays out. His latest post:

The Art of Deception: Big 12 vs. ESPN
For most conference realignment moves, the timing may often be surprising, but the logic behind them makes sense. The SEC taking Texas and Oklahoma is a perfect example: the move came out of nowher…frankthetank.org
