That’s possible but ‘TJ to Iowa State’ reports coming out would be bad for TJ and recruiting to UNLV if he was staying there and we’ve seen nothing saying ‘I’m committed to winning at UNLV’

Sorry, I shouldn’t have been so vague. ISU representatives were waiting on a flight from OKC to DSM that had Gibbs on it to land so they could be at the airport waiting to pick him up.

Not very familiar with Gibbs' playing career, but probably just a solid assistant candidate for whomever is taking the HC gig, if that kind of guy was in fact arriving in Ames.

This reply is to you all who think prohm and the program has failed. We have won 4 of the last 7 big 12 tournaments. 2 good runs in dance. Check your history gentlemen. That's pretty good for schools not named Kentucky and Kansas. Keep that in mind when ******** about pollard.

I'm not ****** about Pollard; my comment addressed how to set expectations after JP's plea to temper expectations for return of our MBB program. JP indicated it will not be a quick fix and it will be challenging; and I appreciate his "under promise, over-deliver" approach.
Also, I'm in the minority on this opinion, but I could care less about a made-for TV tournment championship. Unless we're out of contention for a Dance spot and need a B12 Tourney championship to punch a ticket, I don't value the trophy as much as: 1) a top 3-4 regular season conf finish, and 2) a long-Dance run. I would, without hesitation, trade our last B12 trophy for a victory over Ohio State in the Dance.

Makes a ton more sense. That’d be a solid assistant IMO. Young and can resonate with recruits and was the head coach for a G League team.
