You've just explained exactly what's wrong with the indie scene having a mainstream outlet in AEW. These guys are doing all sorts of unnecessary stuff and it's nowhere near worth it financially for them or the promotion.

It's why although I've always been a big fan of Jon Moxley/Dean Ambrose, I mostly just cringe at his matches anymore. It's one thing where WWE has gone way too far in the PG direction where even the hint of blood is avoided at all cost, but where Moxley has gone the last few years it's as if he's trying to prove some kind of point. Many of his matches aren't even wrestling anymore, but scripted BDSM exhibitions - and it's really not entertaining to watch.

He simply replaced the alcohol addiction with adrenaline rush he gets from pain. It's bizarre. These ******** out using light tubes and panes of glass and forks and pizza cutters aren't wrestlers, they're freaks that have convinced themselves it's some kind of masterful storytelling and art. It's awful.

I haven't watched AEW in a long while but you come across clips of stuff and shake your head. I saw Moxley hit his finisher from the middle rope last night and the guy kicked out. Just illogical.

Cody left because he thought he was building JCP with money and the Elite went PWG. Cody lost out and ended up in a MUCH better spot because of it.

*Rant over*

Agree, Aew anymore is just big spots and violence. Their matches don't tell a story nearly as well as wwe.

For some guys who pass away wwe does the 10 bell salute. I hope wwe does this Friday. If ever there was a guy who deserves this honor it's Funk.

Updated title this news @ISUCubswin posted in another thread.

Windham Rotunda aka Bray Wyatt has passed away at just 36.

What a kick to the stones for the wrestling world this week.

Paradise Alley is an under rated movie, in my opinion, and Funk played Frankie the Thumper and was outstanding in it.

I have been trying to find the exact quote from the movie, but when the match between Victor and Frankie was finalized, Frankie the Thumper says something like, "For $5,000 I rip the face off my smelly old, decrepit, sweet mother, you puke."

In light of news of Bray yesterday it looks like wwe is doing what they do when someone on current roster passes in that tonight will be a tribute show and storylines will pause.

Cody Rhodes whose dad Dusty worked with Bray in NXT and wyatt family member Braun Strowman will be in attendance.

Windham Rotunda. A name with so much wrestling history.

The WWE has such a history of just junking things just to junk them.
