Nice work. I know some people are critisizing CPR for his animated response to the officials in this game (and some others) but I can honestly say that I am fine with him showing some emotion on the sidelines.

Does he look a bit silly? Perhaps. However at a minimum it demonstrates to his players that he is fighting for them and will not just sit back and take a kick to the stones if he believes that the refs missed a call.

Does it do any good? Maybe, maybe not. Either way at least he is fighting for his players and I feel that it helps keep his players from "checking out".

Embarrassing

Are you serious?

If so, then you and everyone else who wants to ***** and complain about how emotional Rhoads gets can go find another ******* team to root for. I am sick of people complaining about one of the main reasons why Rhoads has had any success so far at Iowa State. If you want a stoic a-hole on the sidelines then go root for Auburn. We all know how much emotion that d-bag has for his team and his fans.

Yeah I'm serious. You can show emotion and stick up for your team without looking like you are having a medical issue.

I don't think I've ever seen a medical issue that involved a coach telling a ref to keep ******* us in the ***.

Jumping around and holding your balls is not a requirement for that process.

I agree. Its starting to get a little bit old. There are other ways to show your emotion besides screaming at the refs continuously about a bad call. Voice your opinion and move on.

Screaming at the refs and jumping up and down like a little girl on the sidelines is embarassing. It is just plain immature. I lost a ton of respect for CPR with his antics on Saturday.

I agree, I watched the first half last night for the first time and I thought his gyrations were a bit much. I'll take it, 'cause I love the way this guy fights for his players, but that had to embarrass him a little.

I'm sure others heard it during the game, but did you catch the announcer reference us as the Hawkeyes? That never gets old.

I'm sure he's devastated.

I freaking LOVE Paul Rhoads...that's the dude I'd want my son to play for. Period. That's a dude fighting for his team...that's a dude that has the fire to win at ISU. I can't imagine how one single Cyclone fan can say one negative word about the man...unreal.

Funny, I was listening to Bob and Tom and they just played "Can't Touch This", and it went with the animation pretty well. I would say we could find a Pete Townsend riff to go with it even better with the classic windmill he displays.

It's not like that was the first bad call and he went crazy. The refs kept a TAM scoring drive alive with that pass interference call and then a couple of others went against us. CPR built up to this little number. I think it was this or he punched the ref.

Embarrassing

What is embarrassing is the level of officiating ISU gets every week. I thought that the A&M game was the fairest ISU has been treated since the UNI game, and they still had some horrible calls. Do you realize that an opposing team has not been called for holding in 6 weeks? I have not watched every game in detail, but I have seen ISU linemen being held with both arms, even tackled in the last 6 weeks. Yes, I agree that nothing it going to happen from the fit CPR threw, but he and Cyclone fans are on the same page: We are all sick of being &(^&^(.
