Screaming at the refs and jumping up and down like a little girl on the sidelines is embarassing. It is just plain immature. I lost a ton of respect for CPR with his antics on Saturday.

Yep, this sounds like something a HAWKEYE would say...

It's not like that was the first bad call and he went crazy. The refs kept a TAM scoring drive alive with that pass interference call and then a couple of others went against us. CPR built up to this little number. I think it was this or he punched the ref.

Can you point me to a situation that after a tirade the officiating has changed?

I said it was this or he punched the ref. I never said either got results. I think TAM should have gotten a pass interference call shortly after and that official didn't call it specifically because he didn't want to look like CPR had any effect on him.

It is getting embarassing

1) Minus the player abuse and angry freak outs at the media

2) With the exception of the Mizzou game, ever since UConn, the Big 12 refs have SUCKED. What do you expect?

You are a troll, just not a good one. I think you need practice, I'll send you some info regarding trolling. If you could read, it would help.

Ok we get it, some of you think he should have taken a higher road, I tend to agree. But he did what he did and we nor he can change that. The gif is hilarious. PR is obviously going to be a media sensation. Good, bad, and weird. Its that quirkiness that I love about him. Embrace it or move on.

I can't tell if you just embarass easily or if you're so emotionally invested that someone who has similar likes as yourself (in the case, Iowa State athletics) but has a different way of expressing themselves (online) about it is enough to actually physically embarass you.

I find this interesting.

Wrong. Rhoads has done this once, Pelini does it every game. On top of that, Pelini also tends to target his players.

Any good coach is going to have a bad day now and then. Everyone in the stadium (except A&M fans) was furious about the officiating in the first half. Personally, I like it when coaches get fired up. He's a coach, not a business executive. It's fine for him to freak out once in a while in the heat of the moment so long as he isn't being violent.

For those of you complaining about Rhoads' reactions like it or not who empowered you to tell people how they should react. Variety is the spice of life and if everyone reacted as you say life would be pretty boring and you wouldn't have anything to complain about. I personally love it. But if I didnt I sure as he'll wouldn't come on here and tell someone how they should react. Just cuz it isn't the way you would do it doesnt make it right OR wrong.

If you can't tell the difference between CPR giving a ref "the business" and Bo Pelini physically assaulting his players, then please refer to my first post in this thread.

I understand that some people like their coaches to have that professional demeanor, but that's not CPR.
That's not what his recruits commited to after a visit. They didn't come here and say, "Wow, that coach is very professional. I'd like to be on the sidelines as he paces patiently back and forth and silently schemes during games."
They said that they loved coach Rhoads because he has a passion for his players, and his team. A passion that he obviously can't turn off even if it goes a bit over the edge. The team fell in love with CPR because he was "so proud" of them after the NU game. Not because he brought them into the locker room and said, "Good game gentlemen. I am very glad that our meticulous preperation led to successfull execution of our game plan."
No, the players screamed, "We love you coach!"
It's not just our players. Opposing fans have noted that they really like CPR and his passion for the game and his team.

The consensus is that Bo Peline is preening d0uche bag and a complete horses *** to everyone. But, becuase he wins, no one cares at NU.

I think the public perception of CPR is a bit different, even if he does get a little animated at times.

Then quit and become a Hawk . . you will enjoy gum chewin Ferentz and their great fandom.

Nothing like backstabbing one of the best coaches we will ever have . . but hey, there will always be some fans who just can't stand a little fight in our players and coaches. Pathetic.

Ha we love his over the top emotion when we are winning. No one complained about his emotion with wins over Nebraska, Texas, and Iowa, but once we lose it gets old. The guy is passionate, who cares. I would rather have that then someone who doesn't voice or show anything. CPR is passionate and many on this board have complained about the officials lately, maybe it finally just got to a breaking point. Remember we get to complain all we want, but he doesn't have that chance during interviews or the like. He probably just snapped. Oh well.

Exactly!

You have to take CPR as he is, good and bad.

For those of you complaining, do any of you remember the last coach we had at ISU? He rarely showed any emotion. His press conferences felt like board meetings full of coach speek and non-commital rhetoric. He acted like a CEO. His coaches were his managers and his players where his employees. Then, when he got a new gig, he spent a few minutes with his old team and hopped a plane.

Is that what you would prefer? Seriously?
