No but I'm sure he'll just laugh at you for trying to be a message board coach, and then also laugh at the fact he makes more than you.

Yep...you are 12.

I for one am sure that PR could give to ***** about what anyone on this board thinks. Last time I checked this board was for expressing opinions. I will express mine and you can express yours, that is how it works.

You don't even have to like my opinions, but you could save yourself some embarrassment if you chose not to respond to posts with the idiocy you have lately, this one being a prime example.

Well hey if you think I'm 12, if i get a ban, its understandable. Can't wait to see how long you last before you go on another timeout.

Everybody constantly keeps bringing up Pelini and then completely ignoring the fact that half the time he's screaming at his own players. That is what shows you can't control yourself and your not just fighting for your team.

I know a ton of people have already mentioned this but, I just thought I'd be the next person to say it. I know it will get ignored by the haters and they'll still post comparing Rhoads to Pelini, but they're hopeless. If you think Pelini is anything like Rhoads then there is absolutely no reason to argue with you because you'll never see reason.

Pelini explosions on the sideline have been laughed at (regardless of who they were aimed at). He was out of touch with "control". CPR look similar on Saturday. End of comparison.

Screaming at the refs and jumping up and down like a little girl on the sidelines is embarassing. It is just plain immature. I lost a ton of respect for CPR with his antics on Saturday.

Again, different people have differnet approaches. Coach K and Roy Williams absolutely crucify officials from the very tip to the last second. Coach K abuses officials when they actually GIVE him a call. It works for him and a lot of other guys.

OK, so you're just worried about how a situation looks, and not the reasons behind. Then that is a very shallow and useless thing to argue about.

I always have hope for the FB team, each season. We are quickly becoming a laughing stock in this league. BBall has been down. Fball is back on the decline. We almost got left out in the cold during the big 12 implosion a few months ago. It is not a great time in ISU athletics. The one thing that we can hang our hats on though.... doing things the right way and with class and dignity. We keep our noses clean of scandals and th like. So the last thing I want to see is our coaches acting like crazy people on the sidelines and completely lose it.
I am with HillCyd on this one. Ill bet you if you asked CPR he would say he went too far and is not exactly proud of the way he acted.

You may want to read this HAWKEYEGREG:

Chris Williams on Iowa State Football: No need for Paul Rhoads to apologize for anything | Cyclone Fanatic

There are a few interesting quotes here I think.

I love Paul Rhoads, but this is a little too much over the top. Sorry, but many of you laughed at Bo Pelini for acting like he was going to explode at various junctures in past games. No one thought that he was just fighting for his team... they thought he was a lunatic. Being animated is good, but you have to control emotions better than CPR was during that game. The fallout is that your team is not playing with discipline. Have we seen that a few times in every game this year?

Fixed it for you . . .they know he is a lunatic nut job who abuses his own players.

If your are comparing CPR to that lunatic . . . you need to become a fan of non contact Olympic sports.

Why are we comparing basketball coaches to football coaches? The two sports are very different. It comes down to sportsmanship. I think some of us feel that the line has been crossed lately and would like to see our team\university have a little more class when it comes to dealing with the refs.

Right . . that 1930s motto . . "Honor before Victory." How quaint . . when tiddly winks was the big game on campus . . that was a mighty fine ethic.

But . . . . Come join us in the new millennium where semi pro football (college sports) is played every weekend in the fall. Careers are lost . . money lost (or made) by these "on field" lawyers. This is a game of inches . . not yards.

When screw jobs seem to fall against one team or some other perennial underdog . . . just because the other team is "name" . . that crap has to stop. Fortunately, for true fans of ISU . . we have a coach who is going to stand up to these mealy mouthed Zebras bullying the little guy on the field.

When your team is winning it's all good. When you team is losing everything is bad.

I would like to see the refs have a little more class when dealing with our team/university.

Edit: And I think a line has been crossed with regard to the actions of officials.

Nobody has ever said anything about Rhoads going overboard before and now because of this, he's some lunatic that's constantly berating the officials. Check what everyone was saying about him in the Iowa game last year.

Another thing, now all of a sudden everyone slaps the untimely, undisciplined penalties all year on Rhoads as a direct reflection of the coach, but nobody had this excuse through the first 6 games. Players playing smart all through 2009 wasn't a direct reflection of the coach apparently. Getting a lot penalties in 2010 wasn't a direct reflection of the coach apparently. Now after game 7, it is. People need to view things clearly in their entire context.

Nobody outside of ISU/Iowa fans will even remember this a week from now and pretty much all of them will move on to something else to talk about after Saturday anyway.

By the way, Rhoads absolutely got us the intentional grounding penalty.

Personally I have no problem with what CPR did, he is emotional plain and simple.

As a fan I think the ref's have become too untouchable. There is seemingly no PUBLIC accountability. The way I look at it is we are all investors in the company that is ISU athletics and football. There are some that invest ten's of thousands of dollars if not more a year to support the athletic department. I personally don't think it's too much for there to be more public accountability from the conferences on what they are reviewing. Not sure how this would come about or be handled but I believe it needs to happen somehow.

So its ok for a basketball coach to yell at the officials non stop?

That is why the comparison was made...

Good thing Iowa State has never hired a coach with emotion before now.... I mean, there was this guy one time name Johnny Orr that made a bunch of comments about refs on air, got fined, got fired up. Good thing he never coached a bunch of high class snobs like ISU. Then I heard about this coach name Tim Floyd. That guy would scream and throw his jacket off. Ohhh then this coach named Larry Eustachy that coached. Almost got kicked out of an elite 8 game. A player had to hold him back. Wow.... Crazy stuff huh... That would never fly here. How about this Bill Fennely guy... The girls on his team says he never stops yelling at them. Somehow they win.. Hard to believe.

I will say this every time a thread about "Fire Coach So and So" "We need an Apology" or something stupid..... Our fans are some of the worst in college sports. No knowledge of who we are, our history, no idea what type of person it takes to win here, no idea of anything, except the desire to beat Iowa.

Good point. Please note that LE did get kicked out of that game and that Mike Nurse was just concerned that he was going to physically assault the ref. That was why he was holding him back at that point. Larry did know how to get his money's worth if he was drawing a T or getting ejected. He had every right to be ******. There wasn't another team that was going to touch that team in the final four. The joke officiating in those last few minutes could have very well cost him and ISU a national championship.
