Even with his potential maxed, there is is absolutely zero chance he'd ever be a first round rick. Mid round tops but instead he wasn't dedicated to the team, cancer in the locker room, terrible example of a student. Time to move on.

I'm not sure if there is any truth to him being a cancer in the locker room, poor student, etc. Even if there is, a lot of guys have been drafted him who were all those things.

I've never heard ANY of those accusations about him before. How do you know any of those things to be true?

Says who? You don't know any more than Tre does and if anything, you know much less. I'll put my money on Tre over your talent scouting abilities any day of the week.

I'd imagine that whatever he did had some severity to it - obviously. It'll be interesting to see if we ever find out what it was for.

Any uncommitted Juco DL left? On Scout Guy and Moala show as being uncommitted, but not sure they are up to date? Got a hunch that CPR must have a Plan B here already in mind. Maybe they were concerned about him not rehabbing his shoulder and being ready to go in August?

I wonder if what Coe did is worse than what Taylor did to get kicked off Tenn. Taylor was kicked of Tenn for drugs prior to signing with ISU, right?

Maybe we traded for Taylor and Coe was the player to be named later.

No Taylor was not kicked off for drugs, although he did get in minor trouble for them after he was kicked off.

What are we worried about. With our new OC we'll be scoring so many points that we won't even need a defense.

I think CyDude is probably right on why COe got booted. I don't think he probably did any single thing that was serious but he may have had a disregard for the program and it's authority consistently for two years and you can't keep a guy like that around. The other players will resent that.

“They see that as me having an attitude.” Coe said, “and putting myself before the team.”

:biglaugh: The phrasing of that statement says a lot :twitcy:

Sounds like Coe had been warned....and warned.....and warned. As bad as it is, enough is enough. We have some young talent. Adding a guy like Moala would certainly help. But I have seen our DL prospects in the past to be much bleaker than they are right now. We have some talent. They are just young.

Also this:

“I didn’t think they would go to that extent,â€￾ Coe said.

The guy knew he was messing up but thought he could make it through an *** chewing. Instead CPR was fed up, and cut ties.

Yep, and since he couldn't practice with his shoulder, I'd bet anything he wasn't showing up for Physical Therapy with the ISU Trainers, CPR probably warned him several times to get it together, was fed up with the no shows, and this was the final straw. I've had 3 shoulder surgeries, which all started with a freak play at practice, and it takes many months just to get them back to 80-90%, you are rarely ever back to 100% with a shoulder.

I would also bet that CPR already has a verbal from (hopefully Moala) or another spring graduating, larger DL to rotate with Cousin. One thing about CPR, he rarely does anything that is not thought out or pre-calculated. Moala was to have visited a few weeks ago, I'd love to hear how that visit went. If he comes, it would give us a Healthy DL for 2 years, he would be guaranteed a LOT of playing time, and maybe start. May be a win win for us as Coe was still learning the DL position while Moala appears to be playing it all his life. Hard lesson to learn, but inaction/laziness has consequences.

As I recall, that visit didn't go at all, because he decided not to come if he didn't have a scholarship offer. So he canceled.

Perhaps things changed after that, but that's the ;ast I was aware of.
