We could have been a 1 seed that year but chose the 2 seed so we could play in Minneapolis. Forget where I heard that but remember it being someone credible.

This might be the dumbest thing ever posted here. Stop making up **** and saying someone else "credible" told you that. Teams don't choose their seeds in the NCAA Tournament. Not then. Not now. Not ever.

I worded that wrong, my bad.

What I meant to say is that I have heard that we preferred playing in Minneapolis that year so we would be closer for our fans. I should not have said "chose" bur "preferred".

Sorry for getting your panties in a bunch, carry on.

Haha, I know, I remember reading this last night and just shaking my head. I didnt know you could negotiate your seeds that are given by the selection committee.

For the life of me I can not understand what justifies Florida as being number 20 in the RPI. They are 0-3 against top 25 teams, 1-5 against top 50, 5-6 top 100, and 7-6 against top 150.

They also are in a state that makes a nice vacation destination for sportswriters.
