I've watched the Borg OSU video so many times, it's kinda weird hearing that song any other way. Almost hear John Walters and Tessitore and Gilmore in there out of habit.

Few observations. Not much been said, but that pass by Monte at the 1:00 mark to Melvin is RIDICULOUS! And his crossover at the 1:27 mark is equally so. For the first time since about ... well, ever - I'm not in total dread for next year given the players we're losing this year. Deandre and Melvin are gaping holes to fill. But I think there's a better core returning than most years. Two years ago I thought there was NO WAY we get better losing Royce, Scotty and Chris. But we did. And last year there was zero chance we get back to the NCAAs losing Will, Chris, Korie, Tryus.

Yeah... right.

I castigate myself before the altar of Hoiberg. Believe.

Awesome video.

I would love to find a similar style guard for next year to complement the guards we have. Best team in at least 15 years, might as well go all out.

Don't you think Burton could do some of the same things in regard to at least the scoring. Obviously he doesn't handle it or pass it as well from what we've seen but I could see him being that bull in a China shop type scorer that Kane could be which fits in very well with Naz, Morris, Thomas and Cooke. Maybe I haven't seen enough of him and I'm overestimating his ability to create on his own. I think if we don't get Diallo, we really need to find some post players of some variety.

That football video still gets me jacked up, what I wouldn't give to have games like that again at Jack Trice.

I still love the shot of that Michael Cera looking kid who just looks stunned. As he hugs his girlfriend he still can't believe what just happened.

Mostly because that's exactly how I felt. After watching our football program since 1990, that moment had never happened. Not once. Every single time we played a great game against a great team, we managed to blow it. For the first time we actually won it. The catharsis was staggering. I'd give just about anything to feel that way about our football team again.

With Hoiberg, it's possible. It would make us scary as he is All-Conference caliber if he has that much guard skill. Imo he is more likely to be somewhere between BDJ and Hogue- a wing. Cooke can play both backcourt spots and optimistically could be a Naiper-Boateng combo with Morris, but he is slight and coming off a long recovery.

Agree first priority is Diallo or another big. Even a Jiri type pickup would be good. With the second I think we could do best available, but a Kane like guard would give us an elite backcourt. Admittedly I am bias towards stacking the backcourt.
