Run up the Middle

Burn the entire play clock to try running up the middle again, when we’re down by 10 with 12 minutes left. Third down Cyclones.
I don’t blame our oline for inability to get push on multiple soon-to-be NFL starter dlinemen.
I also appreciate that our coaching staff has enough creativity to get some of our receivers/TEs/backs in space in the passing game.
I just don’t understand why we run inside zone 15 times in a game where we clearly cannot get push.

Here is what really boils my beef.
Whenever we have a long pass play, we immediately run up the middle on the next play.
Cannot be that predictable against a team with playoff level talent.
This is the weakest, lamest, limp d*** ish I’ve seen on this site.

Anyone with half a brain could have told you before the game we couldn’t run it into the teeth of their defense. No idea why the coaching staff thought that would work
Yeah, didn’t seem to be much creativity with the run game tonight and we are lucky to have 15 total run yards…
If there was one toss play to the outside I don't remember it.
Being at the game was torture watching the play calling. As much as I love Campbell, his in game coaching is at the bottom of the big 12
The good news is that the offensive staff is young, and they’ve gotten better and better as the season goes on, along with the growth of the young players.
Losing to Texas isn’t embarrassing, they’re a great team this year.
I just hope they can match their creativity in the pass game in the run game.
Again, I was in the stands so I couldn’t pause and rewind or anything, but it seemed to me we just ran inside zone about a dozen times, a counter twice (which got blown up behind LOS both times), and 2 zone reads where Rocco kept it.. once off a jet sweep motion.

And yet their biggest play of the night was because Texas thought ISU was running up the middle. Go figure
I believe we threw deep twice on go routes.

Texas finally bought themselves the right combo of talent and coaches. Took them long enough, but they are legit good this year. We also got their A- game at least. If anyone watched their game at Bama, you'd know what happened tonight is no shame.
My god, can we go five minutes without making calls to celebrate mediocrity?
Good point but with no running game for an entire game one score probably won’t help much…
We run between the tackles on well over 80% of first downs. If you don't think that is a problem you are clueless. It is literally the definition of insanity. We ran the ball 21 times for 9 f'n yards. What are we trying to prove?
