I've been skeptical of our route trees and combos for a while. Seems our routes are mostly long developing and no hot routes to account for a blitz. Seems overly complex compared to what other teams run.

Seems like most everything in the offense is long developing. A lot of our runs are not quick hitters. We don't seem to have quick hitters on offense.

I mean I'm not genius but I'd have X run the corner off, do a arrow route with Noel and quick fake it to Breece and throw it to the flat. The way teams crash off on Breece, I'm fairly certain it'll be open - at least the first few times we run it and they adjust.

and I mean I know we want to be physical and dominate in the ground game and all that but if Potter, Bitter or Scates or anyone really - Dean at TE - can actually get open vs press man coverage - then I feel like there should be a package for them.

Cause that might make the safety leave the box, which makes the job easier for the OL and Breece, etc... like again, I'm not football savant but if I can think of this or others here or in general can then I'm sure the guys on staff have thought of this but yet... IDK.

Because until we get offensive linemen who are going to be high end draft picks like mid first or higher - its tough blocking with 8 guys in the box if you're heavy isn't better than their heavy.
