You know what? I thought that, as a fan base, we had started to kind of shed that loser mentality a bit over the last 5 years. But one loss to Kansas and we've all lost our ******* minds. I think over the last 5 years our football program has earned the benefit of the doubt and us fans should stop acting like a bunch of losers. Good programs lose games. They lose games that they shouldn't. They lose games that are embarrassing. They have occasional bad years. But it's like we were all waiting for it to be over and we are only happy when we are miserable.

Nebraska fans still act like they are a serious program. Why shouldn't we? And if it turns out this is the end, then what will it have hurt to be unnecessarily confident? Nothing.

When you have the worst participation rate and dollars raised for an athletic department in the Big12, what do u expect? A lot of negative nannies with big opinions and no financial commitment.

OK. Nice sentiment and pep talk. We all can probably use it.

It's just that I feel about as strong as an inguinal hernia, after the performance at KU last week.

I hope we can see some signs of life from the offense and coaching staff tonight!

I feel like the kicker will either 1) crumble into dust and have no confidence; or 2) learn from the mistakes and the pressure, and come back stronger over the year and moving forward.

I hope it's 2. iirc Cole Netten had a really bad first year, but he came back and became reliable later in his career.

Kansas torching the TCU defense with Mr. Bean in at QB! Personally, it gives me confidence that the ISU defense is really, really good, and defense can help a strugglintg offense find its way. Hopefully, the D shines again tonight, and Hunter can find X and carve up the Wildcats. OK, maybe not carve up, but score enough to win! Uh, no FGs. I never like ISU kicking FGs...EVER.

Because Nebraska fans look and sound like ******* lunatics for pretending they're legit.

It's reasonable to say that ISU has been pretty good the last few years but the thing that's repeated as being some sort of defining mechanism for their program (margins) is not terribly strong and would be the difference many times over.

I'd feel happier to Kansas football if all the bball d bags didn't come out of the woodwork

Shout out to the like 10 Kansas fans who consistently go to football games over the years. Lost today but good for you.
