It is also no longer appointment TV because I can catch the skit on YouTube a day or so later. With Big 12 after dark it'll be tough for me to even think about SNL.

Yeah those are must watch for me and my wife. They always are hilarious. Especially the stuff that Che makes Jost read.Che and Jost reading jokes written by the other is some of my favorite stuff.
Agreed. The Weekend Update segment is the one thing I always watch on youtube.Che and Jost reading jokes written by the other is some of my favorite stuff.
"scamdemic" was literally one of the first words out of his mouth. At least make it funny, it was more or less him b*tching.
It's brutal to watch live anymore, and if you're not watching it live you might as well just pull up youtube, watch weekend update and the one or two skits that were good.
The Bargatze skit where he's GW in the revolutionary war talking about the country they'll create was pretty funny.
I disagreed because I love watching it live. Some of my all time favorite skits have come in the recent years.
The revolutionary war skit was amazing
Is it because you are no longer in middle school? When I was in middle school it is was the topic of discussion the following Monday. Not so much anymore.

People always say that though, comparing 90s to Belushi and company.I was just saying snl was much more must see in 90's than today.

Agree, and honestly, SNL's thing has always been that random skit that is just absolutely classic. That often doesn't even happen once a show, but the compilation of all those made it great, and the frequency of the skits that nail it makes a cast great.I'm spoiled from streaming, watching something with that many commercial breaks drives me insane.

That's a tough environment when you can just skip all the ones that don't make a buzz and just watch the ones that do.
I'm glad those of you who went enjoyed the show. Sandler is kind of in that Jim Carey realm of comedy that was really good at the time but hasn't really aged well for me. I'm just not sure I find his schtick that funny any more.
Usually the pinnacle of SNL is whenever you were between 12-20.We watched some of the first seasons that had Steve Martin as the host. A lot of them were pretty non funny. His standup was a little rough at times too. SNL has always been about the same. It’s more just personal preference to when it was ‘awesome’.
I know I was joking.I was just saying snl was much more must see in 90's than today.
