I don't get it. What's so funny about a photo of a Cyclone athlete, an Iowa State letterwinner?

I'm an obtuse sort, please tell me why this photo is funny so that I can enjoy the humor, too. Thanks.

You always seem to be a Debbie Downer. Por que?

Losing Knapp bites. We needed that experience and depth. You really noticed a drop off when he was out.

I would agree for the games when Knapp first went down. Even when he came back for part of the A&M game, he was more effective.

That said, I believe that Alvarez improved as the season went along and that he did a good job in the last couple of games. Guys like him, with limited football backgrounds, tend to continue to improve each year in college compared to more experienced guys who level out earlier.

You can all watch the press conference. Rhoads also talks about Veishea. He said they will have team captains by the end of spring ball and believes that the defense will be able to hold offenses under 35 points.

I can't believe that KCCI's John Meyer actually asked PR:

"Coach, do you know what 'Veishea' is?"

Then I loved PR's look of disgust at him as he retorted, "Of course I know what Veishea is. Do you? What do the letters stand for?"

Then Meyer says he'd have to "look it up," and PR spits back at him:
Then you don't know what Veishea is."

I love Paul Rhoads...

....:wideeyed::wideeyed::wideeyed: (That is Buzz Killington)

The funny part was that Sean Haluska had nothng to do with anything.

Paul Rhoads, the man, is awesome.

Paul Rhoads, the ISU Head Football Coach... hopefully just as awesome.
