My wife pays ZERO attention to basketball games I watched but asked me what that sound was today.

I noticed from your, you live in Cedar Rapids. Has that place always smelled that bad? I drove through the eastern outskirts of Cedar Rapids/Marion on Thursday and can only comment on the tear jerking smell of the waste water treatment facility. You know the smell must really bad when you see a trailer labeled "Marion County Ambient Air Quality Command Center". Just saying.

It's the City of 5 Smells!

ADM - worlds biggest corn boil
River - ALL! of the dead fish
Quaker Oats - Life cereal / Crunchberries
Waste treatment plant - Concentrated human waste
Mount Trashmore - hot, wet, decaying 70s garbage

I think these may not be the original smells. Penford, and there was a meat plant back in the day too.

The funniest thing about the Waste plant, is they say there are never any emmissions of methane - but you can see the 6 foot high eternal flame burning 24/7/365. So it always smells like the inside of a county park outhouse downwind for like 5 miles.

I am rewatching the game and let me tell you, I know chicks like that. They have a few drinks, and everything (sometimes nothing at all) warrants a "WOOOOOO". That chick is HAMMERED! Only explanation.

OK, it was a little like nails on a chalk board. But it sure beat the cavernous silence we woulda had without her.
Wail away darling.

Nope, just my other 7 brothers and sisters. I would rather here the roar of the crowd over the "wooter girl".

At times...it is not a good smell. Then there are days you can smell the crunch berries being made from Quaker
Then all is better. Lol I'm glad I don't live on the outskirts of Marion by the water treatment center. Absolutely hideous smell.

Said the same thing to my wife. I'm glad that she was into the game that much, but to those of us that were watching on television, it was quite a distraction.

Watched the game on TV and didn't notice.

I did notice how annoying Reid Gettys was per usual. And I certainly noticed him calling us the Iowa Cyclones. Guarantee he did it intentionally.

For the life of me I can't understand how someone that didn't go to KU can be such a KU honk. Does he get free hookers and blow when he goes to Lawrence?

I wonder if it was worse if you have a home theater set up. I have 7.1 and was able to adjust to make it not so bad. But I went to John and Eric with 3 to play in the first half. I hate doing that since they are 3-5 seconds ahead. Plus I like hearing what people outside ISU say. Not sure why some of you hate every announcer note named Pete, John, or Eric.
